MSNBC and CNN are pushing back on the flash polls and still running their desired narrative (McCain’s strongest line of the night was unarguably “Obama, if you wanted to run against George Bush, blah blah”; and Joe the “undecided average American” plummer BS), which will now be fueled by slightly narrowing tracking polls.
McCain is still a media darling, especially when his comeback means better ratings. McCain’s performance last night doesn’t matter unless Obama makes it matter.
Someday, someone, maybe a grandkid, will clue him in about the danger of making silly faces in serious situations.
“It’s not like the old days, gramps. With that flash powder and having to sit real still for a long time while the photographer looks through the box from under that cloth hood.”
“Now they have these newfangled ‘lectrical boxes that can stop time in its tracks and freeze a moving picture. And they call it TIVO, gramps.”
depends on dose and extent of affected body part (McCain’s left cheek). and with giving immune boosters to keep energy and blood cell levels up – there are such products, specialty nutritional supplements to offset the rad therapy.
Take a hard look at McCain’s schedule..much less than normal presidential campaigns…resting weekends.
I doubt if he’s having radiation done, but he’s having something done–I don’t know if he’s just sleeping, getting B12 shots, whatever…but he spends an awful lot of down time on the weekends.
He rests on the weekend?! Come on! He is in the middle of a physically and emotionally grueling campaign, and he rests on the weekend? I know people who are a lot younger than he is and have much easier schedules who rest on the weekend, and they are perfectly healthy.
What kind of straws in the wind are you hoping to grab?
I thought it was Philly, not St Louis. Didn’t Atrios have a shtick on that a couple years ago? “Just like Philly” whenever news of a big bombing in Iraq happened?
Well, unconfirmed reports say it was a bomb and witnesses saw people coming out bloody. So this wasn’t just the usual case of the fire department over-reacting.
CLAYTON, Mo. – A suburban St. Louis high-rise office building was evacuated after what some witnesses described as an explosion.
The evacuation at the building in Clayton happened just after 11 a.m., and several neighboring buildings were also evacuated as a precaution.
Some people said they heard an explosion. No smoke was visible after the evacuation.
Lisa Pogue, 51, secretary for a law firm in the building, said she heard a boom and felt the building shake. Fire alarms went off, prompting a mass exodus.
Well, I thought my nightmares were dictator-based. But, Boo, you just scared the jeebus out of my nightmares and dreams. I saw Idi begin to “vanish” around one corner of that nightmare and in came that image, creapy nightmare, starring Doggy McPa. I’m never going to sleep the good sleep until I purge that photo from my memory bank, and Gollum! Because it looked like Gollum finally lost his crazies in pursuit of precious.
Damn, Boo! [Damn, that was a great cackle, laugh, etc. Thank you!]
Looks like he’s trying to grope Obama.
Starting to look eerily like Bush trying to find his way out of the room.

McCain is a very sick man… much sicker than thought.
that he could be undergoing radiation therapy – ‘he rests on the weekend’
Demand his recent medical records.
And Btw,
My dad is undergoing radiation therapy. It is normally done five days a week with weekends off for 6 to 8 weeks.
He is extremely tired all of the time as a result and there is no way that he could keep up a hectic schedule like that of McCain’s. No possible way.
It’s extremely unlikely that McCain could be presently undergoing radiation therapy.

I’m watching the excitement across the street. They evacuated a building because of an explosion and now they say it was a bomb.
They’re bombing you now? I guess it’s true, Baghdad is no more dangerous than St. Louis.
I thought it was Philly, not St Louis. Didn’t Atrios have a shtick on that a couple years ago? “Just like Philly” whenever news of a big bombing in Iraq happened?
Yeah, it’s Philly. 300 murders last year.
Kansas City, MO is up to 105 and still counting
I think it’s a function of proximity to Baltimore (the Sixth Circle of Hell).
Or is that just how we reassure ourselves on fault here in DC?
About 1985, the Philly police literally dropped a bomb on a house from a helicopter to force out some troublesome radical black group.
Maybe the group in the special white suits (I’m guessing the bomb squad) is really Blackwater.
They’re probably breaking up a gathering of radical terrorist nuns
They’re the most “direct threat to the fundamentals of democracy”, you know. Right next to ACORN.

Crazy world.
Protect me, John McCain, PROTECT ME!!!!

"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
The biggest moment of drama was when the 10 matching white SUV’s drove down the street and all parked, one behind the other. Feds.
If I were a non-wingnut McCain supporter, I would be very nervous right now. He inspires no confidence whatsoever.
If you were a wingnut McCain supporter, you would find him one of the most confidence-inspiring people you have ever seen.
