What’s happened to the Trib site? Used to be lively place for intellectual consideration of political stuff.

I don’t want to sound whiny and carping, but. . .after looking in over a period of weeks, there’s no real user interest in anything but the Lizard Lounge. (I noticed this months and months ago,, and made a decision NOT to go “in” there ’cause I didn’t want to contribute to the overwhelming “distraction.”) I’ve made it a point to try to post post serious and humorous diaries recently, but no action.

Content diaries are effectively ignored — look at the relative numbers of comments — in favor of chit-chat with 4-bombing. I guess that would be okay if this were intended to be a meet-and-greet- kinda place. But I don’t understand that to be the purpose. Am I mistaken?

The BooTrib seems on the verge of turning into little more than an old-fashioned chatroom/social forum. I, for one, am sad to see this. But maybe you’ve decided to let it evolve?

Anthing I, or others, can do to get BooTrib back on it’s “hoppy legs” if that’s what you want?

  and waiting for Nov 7, to assess the severity of the coming disaster(s).
  
  Personally, after several months running, I got tired of the monthly rehash of the same contentious issues…
  
  It seeems that most are hoping D party politics will come to the rescue. IMO nonviolent struggle will necessary to ultimately succeed, if indeed success is still possible.
  
  See my diaries if interested in that topic.
  
  I expect to be more involved with serious issues on BT as winter in ND progresses.
  
  I think that many of the serious BTers are still around… just taking somewhat of a sabbatical.
