   A bit more: Grandson of Carl’s Jr. Founder Calls for End to Racy Ads and Ouster of Pro-Trump CEO.  A split in the rightwing between the Trumpsters and those that object to sexing up the business identity.  Otherwise, not much difference between the grandson and Andy Puzder (both detest labor laws).  Well, except for the matter of the grandson’s bankruptcy and loss of his franchises.

   Hillary Clinton speaking in public Thursday for one of the first times since losing the presidential election a month ago, called the proliferation of fake news “an epidemic.”

   This is positively Rovian on her part.  As Glenn reports A Clinton Fan Manufactured Fake News That MSNBC Personalities Spread to Discredit Wikileaks Docs.  The “Putin/Russians did it” is also looking much like the fake WMD that the USG, both political parties, and MSM peddled.

     Uncovering an instance of significant “FakeNews” — The Times of Israel IDF map of Hezbollah positions revealed as fabrication.  Army forced to admit graphic touted as `declassified,’ shown to foreign diplomats as real intelligence, was an `illustration’

     A map of southern Lebanon released this week by the Israeli military that ostensibly showed Hezbollah positions, infrastructure and armaments along a section of the Israeli border was a fabrication, the army admitted Thursday.

     The map, tweeted by the army Tuesday, appeared to feature over 200 towns and villages, which the IDF said the organization had turned into its operations bases, along with over 10,000 potential targets for Israeli strikes in the event of a new war with the terror group.

     “This is a war crime,” the army asserted in its tweet.

     An IDF spokesperson admitted the graphic was an “illustration” that had been misrepresented as a piece of declassified intelligence.

     A caption on the photo claimed that it had been “declassified,” in what was construed as an IDF attempt to build a case for future military action, and a warning to the terror group itself, demonstrating Israel’s superior intelligence-gathering capabilities.

     An IDF spokesperson admitted the graphic was an “illustration” that had been misrepresented as a piece of declassified intelligence.

     “The illustration reflects how Hezbollah has positioned its terrorist infrastructure within the civilian arena,” the spokesperson told The Times of Israel.

     According to a Channel 2 report Tuesday, the illustrative map has been shown to practically every foreign diplomat visiting Israel, to demonstrate that while Hezbollah may be heavily embroiled in the Syrian civil war, it continues to arm for conflict with Israel, while embedding itself ever deeper in the civilian population near the border.

     So, what did all those diplomats do with this fake info (aka IDF propaganda) when they got home and briefed their bosses?  How many more weapons and ammo were shipped to Israel and various terrorists factions as a result?

     Big Media’s Contra-Cocaine Cover-up

     Amid the mainstream U.S. media’s current self-righteous frenzy against “fake news,” it’s worth recalling how the big newspapers destroyed Gary Webb, an honest journalist who exposed some hard truths about the Reagan administration’s collaboration with Nicaraguan Contra cocaine traffickers.

     Webb’s reward for reviving that important scandal in 1996 – and getting the CIA’s inspector general to issue what amounted to an institutional confession in 1998 – was to have The New York Times, The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times lobby for, essentially, his banishment from journalism.

     The major media pile-on was so intense and so effective that Webb lost his job at the San Jose Mercury-News and could never find regular work in his profession again. Betrayed by his journalistic colleagues, his money gone, his family broken and his life seemingly hopeless, Webb committed suicide on Dec. 9, 2004.
