In the most demoralizing vote since the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005, eleven twelve worthless Democrats just earned my undying enmity by voting against cramdown.
Max Baucus (D-MT)
Michael Bennet (D-CO)
Robert Byrd (D-WV)
Tom Carper (D-DE)
Byron Dorgan (D-ND)
Tim Johnson (D-SD)
Mary Landrieu (D-LA)
Blanche Lincoln (D-AR)
Ben Nelson (D-NE)
Mark Pryor (D-AR)
Arlen Specter (D-PA)
Jon Tester (D-MT)Honorable mention: Evan Bayh (D-IN)- who did all he could to kill cramdown in committee and then thought he could be cute and vote for it on the floor.
I am especially pissed off at Dorgan and Tester who are both normally much better than this. This is one of the most disgraceful least defensible votes I have ever seen.
landrieu is such a piece of garbage.
she’s a truly rotten democrat and has been for a LONG time.
a nd don’t get me started on carper, who co-sponosred the bankruptcy bill. royal assholes.
yeah, and Kaufman voted for cramdown, so don’t tell me a Delaware senator can’t vote against the credit card companies. And Conrad voted for it, so Dorgan can bite me. Normally, Dorgan is the better of that pair by far.
on the other hand, casey was on the right side.
for once.
Casey always votes the correct way on these types of issues. I wasn’t even worried about him. Our other d-bag Democratic senator wasn’t so compassionate.
Hell’s Bells, can we give Arlen BACK to the GOP?
Jim Bunning needs a rape kit after what McConnell pulled on him today.
The Rude One had a similar perspective on Specter…
oooh, do tell, i missed that one1
You can read about here or here.
looks like mitch took specters defection as an opportunity to call bunning’s bluff.
loose cannon, indeed.
Thanks for pointing them out. I was watching Ed Schultz and wondered who the traitor Dems were.
So what was the point of having 60 votes? Could someone remind me, please?
Hell, in this lifetime it will take 75 Dems in the Senate to have a chance at getting 60 votes.
How pathetic is that?
The pathetic thing is that the current incarnation of the GOP could make that 75 number possible…
Look, please.. we HAVE to wake up here.
DO we want progressive legislation or not??
This is indeed hideous my friends, see my take here:

thanks. this week is instructive in we again learn (the hard way) just who controls the United States.
I’m ready to work to do something about it.. but don’t ask me to elect more “democrats” like Bayh and Tester.
I’m done with these Pricks.
