Elizabeth Warren calls on Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump.

Elizabeth Warren became the first Democratic presidential candidate to call for Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump Friday afternoon, citing the “severity” of “misconduct” detailed in the report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

“The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States,” the Massachusetts senator wrote on Twitter.

In an earlier tweet, Warren said that the report proved that Russia had interfered in the 2016 election with the goal of helping Mr. Trump, and showed that the president “obstructed the investigation into that attack.” Mueller did not come to a conclusion as to whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice.

Warren cited a segment of the report where Mueller wrote that “Congress has authority to prohibit a President’s corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice.”

“To ignore a President’s repeated efforts to obstruct an investigation into his own disloyal behavior would inflict great and lasting damage on this country, and it would suggest that both the current and future Presidents would be free to abuse their power in similar ways,” Warren wrote on Twitter.
Warren expanded on her views on impeachment at a campaign event in Keene, New Hampshire, on Saturday.

“If Donald Trump can do all that he tried to do to impede an investigation into his own wrongdoing and an attack by a foreign government, then it gives license to the next president, and the next president, and the next president to do the same thing,” Warren told reporters after the event. She said that she had not been in contact with any other Democrats about her decision.

“For me this is not about politics. There are some decisions that are bigger than politics,” she said.

‘I Am Sickened’: Romney Blasts Trump in Scathing Reaction to Mueller Report


Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) issued a statement Friday tearing into President Donald Trump over the Mueller report, declaring he was “sickened” by its findings.


Romney wrote, in a statement posted to Twitter, that it was “good news” Mueller’s team found insufficient evidence to charge Trump with conspiring with Russia to influence the 2016 election. “The business of government can move on,” he said.


“Even so, I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the President,” Romney continued. “I am also appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia-including information that had been illegally obtained; that none of them acted to inform American law enforcement; and that the campaign chairman was actively promoting Russian interests in Ukraine.


“Reading the report is a sobering revelation of how far we have strayed from the aspirations and principles of the founders,” he concluded.


Maybe we still actually have a chance of getting rid of this Trump beast???

Fox News’ Napolitano Rips ‘Venal, Amoral, Deceptive’ Trump: Mueller Report ‘Might Be Enough to Prosecute’ Him


Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano suggested on Friday there may be enough evidence in the Mueller report to “prosecute” President Donald Trump.


“Depending on how you look at them, there might be enough to prosecute, but the attorney general has decided it’s not enough to prosecute,” Napolitano on his show Judge Napolitano’s Chambers, which airs digitally on Fox Nation. “But it did show a venal, amoral, deceptive Donald Trump, instructing his aides to lie and willing to help them do so. That’s not good in the president of the United States.”

Ever since Bernie Sanders managed to get huge Fox ratings and approvals after his stand-up appearance last week on Fox’s “Town Hall,” I have been wondering… why on earth would they would hold it in Bethlehem, PA? I know the city very well, because I have been working (and teaching) there on and off for almost 30 years. I have seen it reinvent itself from just another sad, rustbelt wreck of a small city to a thriving, contemporary education/tech-based area with a real arts scene happening as well. Not a typical Fox choice, by any means.


Maybe it really is all about ratings!!!


If Trump loses Fox News, he’ssunk!!!
