“It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.” Einstein, from: Einstein On War LINK: http://rense.com/general65/dopy.htm
Complete article: “”He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would fully suffice…Heroism at command, senseless brutality, deplorable love-of- country stance – how violently I hate all this; how despicable and ignoble war is…I would rather be torn to shreds than be part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.” –Albert Einstein” What more do humans need to see, to put an end to this blood-thirsty regime(s). So few start the war, and to have others fight the war, appalling. PEACE, what is it good for, absolutely everything that matters. EtJ

Before stepping out to spend some peaceful time in the gardens. “I will not play tug o’ war. I’d rather play hug o’ war. Where everyone hugs instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles and rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, and everyone grins, and everyone cuddles, and everyone wins.” Shel Silverstein quotes (American poet, cartoonist and composer best known in children’s literature for his poetry, 1930-1999)

WHAT has happened to America ?? The country that many of us love, and some of us who are awake; MISS……
I once went to a talk by Bruce kent (founder of CND, in the UK). He made some excellent points (as well as showing some astounding graphs on the WMD stockpiles in the US compared to the rest of the world.)
Much of it I had heard before, but enjoyed hearing it put well – but something that really made an impression was that he showed how from childhood, fighting is programmed as laudable. He calls for a new wave of heroes – that we should start lionising some of the great people who have worked for peace, instead of encouraging a culture where aggressors and people of violence (whatever their reasons) are heroes.
