Gentle nudging works! My friend Lisa Pease — who used to live in Seattle, worked as a data administrator at Howard Dean’s Burlington, Vt. headquarters, and now lives in her beloved Los Angeles — has posted a diary: Darwin Award Nominee: The Indonesian President.
Lisa, an author and expert on the RFK and other assassinations, recently returned from a 911 European Truth Tour, sponsored by Reopen911. Lisa also did the tourist thing, sending a “Postcard from Paris.” Our mutual friends in the froggy wobbly pond include Other Lisa, who’s written compelling diaries on China, and JPol, an expert on the U.S. media and polling.
Susan, you are such a nice person. I’m so glad we met through the Howard Dean campaign. You’re a true gem of a person.
You’re pretty terrific yourself. I’m dying to hear more about your trip — what you learned about 9/11. Will there be reports by your group?
You covered the environmental issues of 9/11. Will you write something up?
I just want to say that I so respect the work you did on “The Assasinations”. It really is a shame that so much of the left has just shrugged their shoulders at this. We let these crimes stand & the very people who perpetrated them slowly took over the machinery of our political institutions.
Thank you & keep writing.
Oh, thanks so much re our book The Assassinations. About 8 years of my life went into that research, so it’s good to feel appreciated. That was all volunteer time, essentially! I barely made back the cost of my purchase of the Warren Commission volumes from sales, sadly. But I didn’t do it for the money.
Re Susan’s comment too – yes, I really have to write something re 9/11. There is a lot of good information, and some mis- or disinformation being spread, and I have some experience now separating the wheat from the chaff from my years in the other cases. So I feel a responsibility now to talk about what I’ve learned. Stay tuned!
In that case, I’ll order one – I borrowed a friend’s when I first started reading it. I assume the site is still up? I’m a firm believer in supporting independent projects [as a musician and all myself] :).
Why did the rest of our conversation disappear? Did someone troll it out of existence? If so, why? There were 5 more posts there earlier today.
Hey lucid,
You’re back home safely.
I got back from the meet-up around 12.30. Had trouble logging on here and at ET. On and off intermittently (in my experience) until about 35 mins ago – seems stabilized now, but 7 hrs (as I figure) of comments need to be restored. Booman commented somewhere that the data is still there.
I guess I should have looked before I posted.
I had a fun time last night. Wish I hadn’t been so hurried in my diary & forgetful of names, etc., because there was a lot of great conversation.
A good time was had.
Missed your diary last night, but just checked it out now. Good stuff.
of some of the highlights I remember. Didn’t have any interesting tales of my journey home this time.
