Over the weekend, I took the time to create a petition for people to sign urging Ohio Congressman Sherrod Brown to run for U.S. Senate in 2006 against Mike DeWine. This race is so winnable. Congressman Brown has held statewide office before (Sec. of State), hypothetical polling between the two shows a tight race, and DeWine’s approval ratings are lower than any other Senator up for re-election in 2006.
Now all we need is for Sherrod to run.

I spoke directly with Tim over at http://www.growohio.org, Congressman Brown’s new blog, and he assured me that if I gave him a list with thousands of signatures pledging support, he would personally deliver them to the appropriate people.
This is our opportunity to encourage Congressman Brown to run. He is obviously on the fence, still making his decision, can the grassroots push him over he edge?
