First the disclaimer – I am not a doctor, I have no degree on the wall, God didn’t anoint me a `most reverend’ preacher.  I am not an expert, my experience has been different from yours, so I see things differently.  However I do study and try to understand human behavior. Have you noticed lately that our men seem to be despairing?  So many here are making the “woe is me/us” comments.  Yeah, I notice some of you ladies have caught it too.  A lot of our problems have a basis in sex.  My theory is that the men have a genetic predisposition to think they’re supposed to make everything right for us, and they’re beginning to feel like failures.  

We can defeat this pervasive despair.  I am doing whatever I can to help the world, as most of us are.  But I have not yet begun to fight,  I refuse to admit defeat.  

I’m thinking of Cindy Lauper flouncing around in her unmatched clothes singing “girls just wanna have fun.”  That’s the spirit we need.  More fun and pet and garden pictures.  More stories and poems.  More singing and dancing.

Turn that feminine joie de vivre loose.  Remember when the yippies got together and levitated the pentagon?  Yes we can man the barricades with the guys, but let our weapons be silliness and ridicule. I can’t agonize over convincing swing voters,doesn’t it seem that most people will want to join the party that’s full of fun more than the gloom and doom gathering?  

Snips and snails,
