The disclosure that Karl Rove and Novak had collaborated in smearing Robert Mossbacher during the 1992 elections and have come back to cement that collaboration in the Plame case, only serves to prove that among our so called Press we have True Believers like Novak and Judith Miller who are so consumed with their agenda, that no coaxing is necessary for any one in power to get them to do their bidding.
The transformation of the Press from an impartial chronicler of events to a propaganda organ of the powers that be has been accomplished without any coercion.Mr.Novak,of course, revels in his taunts of the poor and the weak;Judith Miller, who dissembles even more is as close to a true propagandist as this nation has come.Because of her bona fides, I am sure the administration saw her as a reliable conduit to smear Ambassador Wilson.
It is no longer feasible for us to think of these people as disinterested observers.They are participants and very willing participants at that,in the events in Iraq and the blowback back home.
