The two that are doing the most damage with their out and out Lies and Propaganda and that have the biggest audience are Sean Hannity & Bill O’lielly. I didn’t put Rush on the list because I have and will not ever listen to him and two he does not have a TV Show. If I was forced to narrow it down to one…hummm…I would say …well I can’t..they are tied in my books. Pure evil and hateful men.

Other than that… so many, so little time. I’d have to go with Rush Limbaugh… his hypocrital stance on matters has actually caused terrible suffering to continue in our country.

I’ll join you on Rush. He’s on some 2-3 hours per day, five days per week, everywhere in the midwest. Many of my diehard leftie friends check in on him now and then to see what’s the latest foam at the mouth topic.
Rush has done a tremendous amount of damage to the country as I believe a significant percentage of independents would be more aware of what’s really happening were it not for this intravenous drip of slime.
Nobody I know has survived listening to a whole show and lived to tell about it.

I’m going with David Brooks.
With people like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh it’s easy to see where they have multiple screws loose. If you have screws loose they’re your chaps. But, it’s people like Brooks that have an agenda to sound thoughtful but be extremist that set me off.
Brooks is one of people that muddy the waters well enough to confuse people… so me they are more rotten that honest nutjobs like Hannity.
Don’t get me wrong! I don’t like Hannity either… but at least with Hannity I know not to let him get me behind my back so he’ll never be able to stab me there
The thing that scares me so much about him is that you can see in his face that he believes every last word he says. He’s entirely clueless. Even to a dangerous level.
O’Reilly and company are totally different. In their faces, you’ll see that they don’t believe a fucking word of it and all they care about is keeping the gravy train rolling so they can go the Hamptons this weekend. I think that’s where their outlandishness – and their dangerousness – stems from, the fact that even they don’t believe it so it doesn’t matter how far they push it. It’s just a show.
As for talking heads I hate? Rush… The most hypocritical of them all.

But, when I turn on MSNBC for Countdown a little early I sometimes get a dose of Chris Matthews and realize all over again how much I loathe him. Smug, mealy-mouthed brown-noser.
That Nancy Griffith who only covers missing people. I know she doesn’t cover politics, but she drives me up the wall. Why is she always screaming? Does she think that the missing teen in Aruba will hear her?
or as I call her, Nancy “Guilty until proven…ah, screw it” Grace. Okay, so she doesn’t talk politics either, but whenever I see her pontificating during one of the celebrity trials, I want to throw a shoe at the TV.

I haven’t watched Bill O’Reilly in about 4 years and I’ve only seen or read Ann Coulter about 5 times, but I do remember them as being pretty bad.
Then there is the heavyset British guy on McLaughlin Report and another conservative British gal who makes the rounds. I have a problem with foreigners on panels giving conservative commentary about U.S. politics. I feel like it’s none of their business.
FYI, the heavy set guy with the British accent is Tony Blankley, editorial page editor for the Washington times, Sun Moon’s flagship rightwing rag in DC. He was also press secretary for Newt Gingrich.
Blankley is a true shitbird, through and through.
oh my goodness…I too have so many I simply can not stand to watch even in a snapshot of their face that makes me sick to my stomach. I’ll start with the simplest possible harm equation: h = anl/10^6, where harm (h) is the product of average daily audience size (a) [total audience summed across repeat broadcasts], times the number of days of broadcasting, times the average number of lies per day, divided by 1 million to keep the units manageable.
By those factors, I don’t think anyone compares with Limbaugh. I don’t think a Bush administration is even conceivable without a generation-long campaign such as Limsbaugh’s.

Chris Mathews most days and of course Rush but haven’t heard him in ten years…just what I hear of him drives me nuts.
I was yelling at Hannity last night!He was saying something mean about Cindy…oh and he had that asswipe Mike Gallagher on. What a jerk.
I know she isn’t the kind of ideologue that Tucker or Rush aspire to, but Diane Sawyer annoys me in a way no other human has yet to do. Like that lady who had epileptic fits when she watched Mary Hart on TV. That’s how I am with Diane Sawyer.
It’s the hair that gets blonder and mascara that gets heavier every week, the intellectual curiosity (and general disposition) of someone who’s just washed down a handful of Valium & Prozac with some Sleepytime tea, it’s the pink sweater sets and the way she has the same silly sighing smile on her face whether she’s talking about nuclear weapons, war, murder, missing girls, American Idol or the latest fall fashions.
The other morning when she was introduced on the GMA show, she actually responded, “Reporting for duty.”

Seems to be the same everywhere, from AP radio news that’s broadcast on the AA station out of Seattle, to most of the other broadcast media I see (if they cover it at all). 2/3 of the way through CBS tv news and no mention, as last night. We’ll see ABC and NBC in a few minutes.

I had the misfortune of seeing David Horowitz, he of <u>Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left</u> fame, on MSNBC today. He was sitting their spewing such inane comments such as the left is anti-american, and when pressed on if he had lost any family to war, he blew his load with the asinine comment that he had friends who lost their lives due to the left during war. What a jagload asshole.

Even PBS is no longer protected from the ravages of wingnut pathology. With Tomlinson as the Repub hitman running the whole public broadcasting enterprise, it won’t be long before we’ see even more disturbing signs.
The media rubric, (as defined by their Repub masters), seems to be that “balance”, (i.e. political balance), is required in order to be “fair”. Unfortunately, the wingnut idea of balance is to balance truth with lies.

Monday afternoon, I went to a vigil in support of Cindy held in Blue Hill, Maine. About 50 people there, signs, lots of friendly honks from passing cars, including one Massachusetts car with a Kerry-Edwards sticker whose driver honked and honked and waved his hand in the air.
Robert Shetterly, author/painter of Americans Who Tell the Truth, spoke. If you don’t know about this project, I urge you to read the link. He’s done an ongoing series of portraits of Americans who have spoken out for all the good things we profess to hold dear. They are very powerful, and when you see them you are in the presence of greatness.
Cindy stayed with his family when she was in Maine to speak at WERU’s Full Circle summer fair in mid-July, and he told about showing her the picture of Jeannette Rankin, and how Cindy just looked at it for a long time.
He had with him the portrait he’s done of Cindy (they’ve been in touch for some months), and it’s extraordinarily moving. There is a radiance in her picture, it seems to glow with compassion.
