Welcome back, paint fans!
I’m out trying to do some small plein air paintings this week and not blogging from my usual site. Unfortunately I don’t have those new things ready yet but I’ll offer something that might be of interest to readers of this series.
Posted below is a painting seen in a previous volume of this series. It was actually the subject of volume 5. The first photo is the very same photo seen in that volume. At that time I had indicated that I was in the process of getting a new frame for it from a place called Plein Air Frames. http://www.pleinairframes.com/
That frame finally arrived. The second photo shows the result. The effect is dramatic.
Needless to say, I am very satisfied with the new frame and can recommend the site. (I’ve actually used the same site for the frame seen in volume 3 of this series.
