     Hey Boo, just wanted to thank you for you know what. Scott and I worked it all out and it is arriving today!! Cool! I also wanted to tell you how much I admire your stand and openness to all opinions whether you agree with others or not everyone is welcome and for the most part it has kept this site the best it can be. You really are doing a magnificent job Boo!

       as I often do, with a friend named alohaleezy.

       You and Susan and everyone else do such a great job here.  An oasis in a sea of alterior motives, or at least arguments about it.  Intelligent discussion in a desert of name-calling and disrespect.

       Thank you for holding this all together — I know it is not easy, and the easy route would be to give in to those that wish to shut down rational exchanges of ideas.  You show your courage when tackling tough subjects, rising to the challenge and keeping the discourse above personal attack.

   Mr. Maverick has thrown his support for a ballot initiative in Arizona to ban same-sex marriage.  link to article.

   In other news, Shrub is going to be in Phoenix on Monday to talk about Medicare.  Senator Kyl is going to introduce him and plans to discuss his immigration bill with the Liar in Chief.  I can’t wait for this nightmare to end.

     Last month, judybrowni posted a diary regarding the Raging Grannies of Tucson who tried to enlist for military service.  Just a note that all the charges have been dropped against them (trespassing).  link to article

   The League of Conservation Voters just endorsed Maria Cantwell for her Senate race in Washington. But I hear rumblings on the lefter side that she shouldn’t be supported because of her original vote for the war and funding for the war. I’m wondering if there are opinions here about this issue. I myself tend to like Senator Cantwell a lot.

   euguene over at Calitics has a post up with the recent Field Poll results.  The news is less than rosy for the Governor.

   There is some room for movement, particularly on the competing drug benefit measures (78 and 79).

   From the RecordNet.com

   Forty-nine percent of polled potential voters said they support Proposition 78, but only 13 percent were aware drug manufacturers are backing the initiative.

   Once armed with that knowledge, 44 percent of voters were more likely to decide against the measure.

   On the other hand, more voters were likely to choose Proposition 79 when told it was supported by consumer groups.
