Judy Miller’s story about testimony is posted, don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet.
I’ve been anxiously waiting for your take on the “Sunday” articles that were released tonight. My take is Judy has nailed Scooter to the wall on several counts while trying to appear not to be doing just that. Also, the Times editors are telling us that Judy is a difficult bitch but — on principle — they just had to support her. My fave part was her admitting, “I got it all wrong,” but, um, reporters are only as good as the sources they rely upon. My second fave comes from her story and trying to imagine Scooter dressed up like a cowboy. LOL!
That is my impression from wading through the two stories a few times. This is the part that caps it in my opinion:
Judy says: “In my grand jury testimony, Mr. Fitzgerald repeatedly turned to the subject of how Mr. Libby handled classified information with me. He asked, for example, whether I had discussed my security status with Mr. Libby. During the Iraq war, the Pentagon had given me clearance to see secret information as part of my assignment “embedded” with a special military unit hunting for unconventional weapons.
Mr. Fitzgerald asked if I had discussed classified information with Mr. Libby. I said I believed so, but could not be sure. He asked how Mr. Libby treated classified information. I said, Very carefully.”
Judy says that Scooter divulged classified information to her. Whatever security clearance she might have had in Iraq could not cover that. If she had real security clearance, she was not really a reporter at all, but a government agent planted in the media.
And Hunter’s take on it:
Can’t wait for the Sunday Talking Heads Shows!
Judging from the photo included at the top of the below thread I guess that we’ll have to rename this place the Boobman Tribune.

Is this a complaint thread? Who on earth would have posted such a risque photo? 😉
a pervert, that’s who!
Where is Damnit Janet, anyway?
Complaints are down the hall and to the right.
There’s a bathroom on the right.
Credence Clearwater Revival. Gotta love it.
Showin my age!
Me and you both I guess.
I’d have commented ambiguously ‘Gee that looks uncomfortable.’ 😉
Puget4 reminds me “yes it IS.”
Since I read a diary the other day about the comparison of the now and then like back to 1973-74, I have read this artical today about something that reminds me of this…our special ops are now covert into Syria. Does this remind you of Cambodia? :o)
What the hell, just thought I would mention this for thought.
I had lunch today with some co-workers. I asked for all latest news. It turns out my idiot principal is walking around the building listening to his I-Pod. He is listening to all the same music that the students like. It seems that it is more important for him to be cool than for him to do his job. Sigh, I was just starting to miss work a little.
White Sox win. Another complete game from the pitcher, Freddy Garcia this time. Another controversial call or two… shame really cuz it overshadows some great defense and greater pitching… as well as the fact that the Sox scored three runs in the first game before any of the rest of it happened.
GO WHITE SOX!!!
but what the hay there’s always a first time:

Now that Rove’s future is uncertain, is he going for that rock star thing?
WaPo has a new, in-depth article about the Abramoff scandal if someone wants to take that on as a diary. So much corruption, so little time…
Do you really think Judy has a deal and won’t be charged of any wrong doing? Did you read Tomorrows WP front page take on it? Libbys lawyer is looking like a real Ass about now.
the civil rights era, Kent State, Watergate, and Iran Contra, I can say 2 things confidently:
I just posted a diary about Miller.
Look that way >>>
