There’s good chance we are all going to have let downs–not because Fitz isn’t doing his job. It’s that Fitz may 1. not issue blanket indictments, or 2. Indict a few and investigate much longer. It’s hard to maintain the fever pitch of anticipation when things get dragged out. Watergate took forever it seemed.
Storms of rumor! Floods of them! In the words of the ancient joke, “With all this horse s__, there’s got to be a pony here somewhere.”
He needs more time to bring down Cheney. And probably Bush, too.
That’s why he’s probably going to ask to empanel another grand jury. He’ll get it.
I’d be happy to see Rove/Libby/Hadley and even Judy Miller do the perp walk.
I’d be happy to see Bush as an unindicted co-conspirator.
I’d be happy to see some unwitting surprises beyond this.
Otherwise, let it roll…

This can’t be good. It’s not good for Americans opposed to another war in the Middle East, it’s not good for moderates in Iraq, it’s not good for Isreal, and it’s not good for people in Iran.
This kind of rhetoric feeds into the military and war mongers in the US. Indeed, they feed off of each other.

I’ve always been under the impression that it was legal to have it and consume it, but that you can’t buy it or (in theory) have it shipped here.
I had a friend who brought some back from Amsterdam. I think technically it could have been seized by US Customs, but I don’t think he could have gotten in trouble for trying to bring it in (as long as it wasn’t copious quantities, obviously :).
I just made a quick check on wikipedia (man I love that site!), here is what they have to say:

This is where our working class, middle class, and struggling class tax money is going. Some 52 BILLION has already been spent on “Katrina”, but it’s just a huge pile of PORK. You think BushCo and their compliant Congress is going to help people? Naw, they are handing out PORK to their henchmen and recruiting foot soldiers for 9K a month.
Blackwater is the answer to the shortage of troops, but they are loyal to their money, not to any government.
Talk about a protection racket.
That’s heartbreaking. No human being deserves being treated like that. NONE of them do. It’s a travesty of what American justice should be, especially since I’m sure at least half or more of the detainees are just unlucky, not guilty of anything.

Tucker Carlson on MSNBC reported that the front page of the WaPo says Karl Rove’s lawyers are “furiously” trying to avoid perjury charges against him. :-O

Tucker Carlson is an asshole. He explained “why Cindy Sheehan is probably not a good spokesperson for the anti-war movement” by playing a clip where she referenced the “tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis” who have been killed since the beginning of hostilities. I don’t remember exactly what Mealy-Mouthed Bowtie said, but something like, “Yeah, there have been innocent Iraqis killed…but many of those Iraqis were our enemies!” Hey, TC, you know if we hadn’t butted in WHERE WE DIDN’T FUKCING BELONG, those Iraqis would have had NO FUCKING REASON to be our enemies…
