Americas Summit will take place on November 3rd and 4th in the city of Mar del Plata, located at about 275 miles south of the “Capital Federal”.
In preparation to Bush’s arrival, protests are starting to take place, not only in Mar del Plata, but all over the country. So, I will take you through a little visual tour.
Thank you……
I am with ya all in spirit…hugs…keep up the good work.
Thank you Brenda. This is just the preview. Thursday and Friday is going to get hot, hot, hot
Thank you for sharing these — I wish that our “news media” would show the American people what the rest of the world thinks of “dear leader”, too many living too clueless.
I love the last one: Another America is Possible.
In solidarity,
When they say America in spanish, they are refering to the continent, which in English is “Americas” 🙂
Oh, I know that! And that’s why I LOVE it!
I’ve always thought that it was the absolute HEIGHT OF ARROGANCE (something we are so damned good at here in the US) that our country is referred to as “America”. It is something that my students in Japan and Korea would ask me about often….
Please continue to keep us up to date on the summit, as I know that our media will not inform us of ANYthing that is actually happening!
Oh, BTW, did you hear back from Cindy Sheehan yet?
No. I wanted to see if she would like to write a statement which I would translate for her. Anyways, I can still call them and ask them to just put a coule of signs for her.
Two ideas: United we stand with Cindy Sheehan, and , You can run but you can’t hide form Cindy Sheehan
If I can get them to put it in front row, it will travel arround the world.
I like the second one — and maybe “what noble cause?”
Did you get a copy of the “America stands with Cindy” graphic from last summer? The double use of America might be particularly apporpriate in this case…if you don’t have it I can go find it for you.
Sure! I just e-mailed the Grandmas. I love those women!!!
that there’s any chance the Argentines could send a diplomatic note to His Nibs before he takes off letting him know that if he sets foot on Argentine soil he might be arrested for war crimes, is there?
Just wonderin’, since my Swiss cheese memory is telling me that there are Canadians who are trying to get their government to do that. (I forget the details, but it made me smile.)
Or just let him know he has trouble enough here in los Estados Unidos and might not want to leave right now. 🙂
I think we reserved that pleasure for his daddy and for Kissinger.
The reason they will not do that is because georgie boy is going to go with his chaperones (ie. battle ships, Awacs, Blackhawks etc)I will post a diary about that , hopefully today.
I’ll be looking forward to it!
You rock Cruz!! 🙂
