The son of Fathia Ayyash, centre, who was killed during the wedding ceremony in the Radisson SAS hotel, mourns over the body of his mother during her funeral at Sahab cemetery in Sahab, southeast of Amman, Jordan, Friday Nov. 11, 2005. Al-Qaida in Iraq, led by Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi had claimed responsibility for the bombings. The latest statement said the attackers wore explosive belts ‘in order to achieve greater accuracy in hitting the target.’

He Was A Friend Of Mine
arranged by Bob Dylan
He was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
Every time I think about him now
Lord I just can’t keep from cryin’
‘Cause he was a friend of mine
He died on the road
He died on the road
He never had enough money
To pay his room or board
And he was a friend of mine
I stole away and cried
I stole away and cried
‘Cause I never had too much money
And I never been quite satisfied
And he was a friend of mine
He never done no wrong
He never done no wrong
A thousand miles from home
And he never harmed no one
And he was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
He was a friend of mine
Every time I hear his name
Lord I just can’t keep from cryin’
‘Cause he was a friend of mine.

Peace……….
When will it end?
For a mother to lose her son to war: unbearable. For a son to lose his mother to war? I have no words.
And three more US soldiers were lost yesterday to for the lies. Out of Iraq NOW!
I am so sick of this government! alohaleezy, I am telling you America is going to regret each and every life lost to this cause. A few years ago, I entered a essey to a newspaper in Ky. of which I stated, what is it we will call the next WALL???!!! Who will be willing to do it this time? Will there be as many names on it as ours?
All I can tell you and others, is the very first life lost was toooooo many lost. This has got to be the such a sham for the republican party to push us futher an ddeeper in this war…..
Rub, would you consider putting a link to the Iraq Veterans Against the War website in your daily list?
The addy is http://www.ivaw.org. I’ve been menaing to ask you that for a while, but jimstaro’s diary yesterday reminded me to actually DO it!
