Mr. or Ms. “Boogie Shoes” from the dance contest the other night. He/she will have black and white “magpie” markings. This one is the most heavily marked of the whole brood, and has the most amazing feet.
This one only has color on the head, and one spot on the left flank. His/her eyes are blue, so the color will be a light blue-grey known as “Lavendar.”
Muscovies are “classed” as ducks for livestock classification purposes only. As a species, they are somewhere between ducks and geese (and can be bred to both to produce a sterile hybred). And yes, they are quackless (thank god).
This one, who did not want to be taken away from her mates (I’m guessing girl), has a bit of a monk’s tonsure happening. Brown and white pied, with dark legs and orange feet.
The other “magpie.” This one only has one “boogie shoe” and just one tiny spot of orange on the other foot. Just the last few flight feathers of the wings will be white.
The thing that is somewhat weird is that despite the dog beds and furniture, all three dogs like to lie on the wood floor in front of the stove with their heads on the brick platform the stove sits on.
My dogs have staked out all the heater vents, and carefully position themselves for maximum heat absorption. When the heat is turned down, the shih tzu comes and gazes lovingly at the space heater in my office…
That was back in May when he still had his winter coat. Fun to vacuum that up. He’s also quite good at manipulating my family to get more food. Very slick.
Ah yes, shedding enough to provide the makings for several small dogs. One of my three dogs (they are pictured above) is a malamute mix and I can empathize with you all too well.
That our (and the vet’s) best guess but since she was a stray we can’t be sure. She does love cold weather and likes to burrow in and sleep in the snow.
He’s currently sleeping on that very back porch. Good thing he’s a husky, otherwise I could get in trouble for leaving a dog out in the freezing weather.
The snow in my back yard is now taller than my miniature dachshund. Getting her to go outside to pee is like getting a Republican to go to an anti-war protest.

I guessing male for this one.
That one will always be Fred Astaire to me.
The towels! Egad, the towels.
This one is pied, and will probably be brown and white. The feet are orange, but the legs are brown/grey.
Note the zig-zag marking on the back of the head.
If we’re voting for most adorable of the adorable, Number Two gets my vote.

I think you said the other day that they were Muscovy/ducks…aren’t they the one’s that are’/quackless?
Peace

Also brown and white pied, with dark legs and orange feet. Has a little vertical line topped by a small circle on the back of the head.

My dogs are now asking why AndiF’s dogs have real beds, and why they do not…
for me on the couch.

Like a (very hard) pillow!

lol. If they mate, will they have pups or heating pads?
Clearly your dogs have no whippet blood in them.
It’s all about the cushions and the blankets for the whippets.
Don’t forget the Italian Greyhounds 🙂
but they have a certain mutt style of lounging.
11 years old, and still likes to chew on sticks.
That’s a wonderful picture. And your dog is beautiful.

Is it a malamute-Shepherd mix?

Is your dog a husky?
He’s a purebred husky.
What a handsome dog.

My dog loves the snow after it’s fallen. While it’s falling, he lets his hatred of the outdoors be known for everyone in the neighborhood.
And, of course, it’s going to snow tonight. Love him to death, but my goodness can he squeal.
Can someone remind exactly how to post photos?
