I hereby release you from having to root for the Seahawks anymore (it was very sweet of you though) … but I am curious, since you know so much about football: Which opponent do we most want to see next week, and why?
I’m rooting for the Colts here. Peyton just overruled Dungee on a 4th and 2 and made it. End of third quarter. Inhale, exhale…
;o)
Now it’s finally getting interesting ;o)
Dungee or Cower either one is fine with me since both use to be coaches in KC. Go Seahawks..
Well I’m just asking real nice for all who might be so inclined, and since you don’t care either way, to root for the Colts cuz Sherm’s been patient ;o)
Whoo boy. I’m still breathing here, but barely. I just think this should be the Colts’ year. EEeeeee!! Whoops… I can make some funny noises during a football game. SWEET!!! Go, go, go…
I’ll say Colts if someone gurantees a win against Denver>
Hmmmmm LOL
What’s on your mind, SS? Hmmm??
(BIG YAY!) Extra 2 points! Hee-hee. This commercial is so funny, the ‘ooh baby baby’ one.
The reversed call on the interception Hmmmm
Few odd calls this game. I suppose that is usually the case though. Oh god… two minutes and change… Wow, what a grab!
Oh Sherm I am rooting with you! This is a damn good game, but I think I need something for my heart. 2 mins to play. Damn Colts taking it to the wire like this!
No kidding something for my heart. F**K! It’s done, just about…
Isn’t Rothlisberger (sp) a fundie? I know Carr at the Texans is, go figure.
This is the make or break drive. Somehow I think they’ll do it.
I hope you know Sherm just how much I don’t like the Colts and what a HUGE personal sacrifice I’m making here! LOL
Talk about a change in mood… HOLY CRAP!
Why don’t you like the Colts, btw?
Uh oh. That was not good.
did you see that?
Wow.
Oh my…
oh. my gawd.
Unbelievable.
WHAT HAPPENED!? (I was doing my nerdy C-Span2 thing and missed the game.)
I do know that when I called my aunt in Florida, she was in shock over the game.
Holy fucking shit, if I may say…
don’t need an interpreter for that shit!
my heart is pounding
you said you needed something for your heart LOL
holy shit. It must have been the wind.
Don’t tell me this is coming down to a long field goal?
a field goal sends it to overtime only
I know… That just means Bobina can take some fish oil or something for her heart, in between. Oh my…
Yeah – overtime…more heart stoppage.
Ok, I wont tell you..you can judge for yourself. :->
best games I’ve seen in a long time. don’t hook it.
He didn’t just not hook it, he barely made it onto the field. Oh well. He’s been so good in the past… Kinda like Anderson (?) was it, with the Vikings, that one year. Sorry, my recall for specific sports-related things is terrible. Poor guy though. I feel bad for him. It’s always a complete accumulation of the entire game, never one specific play, though it does seem to come down to that sometimes.
Ooopsie
Crap.
Does Indy have a Hockey team?
So sorry Sherm….
and we had the mojo going too
Thanks sweetie.
I don’t know about hockey. I’ve never really gotten into it. I just love watching Manning and Harrison together, that’s why I love Indy. I appreciate good football all around mostly.
Go Bears! 🙂
Yea ;o)
You’re a good sport.
Where’s Aloha?
Go Bears
Aloha is at her son’s watching the game :->
Go Bears!
Are you Aloha?
I did not know this.
We were emailing back and forth yesterday and she told me that was her plan for today.
Sheesh – not starting out well with this game either!
Got it. I didn’t think you were Aloha… Actually, I was thinking Lulu, but now I know you were speaking of Lee. OK, makes sense now…
I need a football break.
You and SuperSoling are cracking me up! I have NO CLUE what you’re talking about, but it’s so damn funny to read all of your exclamations!
Best playoff game though. Heartbreaker. Ooof. Damn. Sorry Sherm 🙁
Thank you sweetie. They’ve really been so good the past few years, turning themselves completely around with Manning. I was really hoping it would be their year this year. At least it’s not the Patriots again. 🙂
HEY! I come here for politics. What’s all this football talk going on? 🙂
Excusssssssssssse me? Just who’s been jawin’ football here all afternoon!
I’m just kidding. I do that… And kinda well too, can you tell? 🙂
As for the game, in the last two minutes, it looked like the Steelers had it, until Indy nabbed a turnover on the Steelers’ 3-yard line or such, and ran it back to their 40-ish or so. Then it was a 46-yard-ish field goal attempt, for a chance to tie and go into OT. He missed it… Indy’s ever accurate and reliable field goal kicker didn’t even come close. Sigh. It was a really good game to watch.
I think that’s all about right. As I’ve said, I have a bad sports memory, even if it was just an hour ago. I’ve come to accept that. 🙂
BTW Susan, I always find your writing and commentary most informative and rewarding. As much as I try to be politically informed, I don’t comment on it too much. I’m more of a goofball who is trying very hard not to let this sad state of affairs get to her. That said, I applaud your efforts and your willingness to share your knowledge with us. Thank you for that. It is much appreciated.
I was teasing you — i think you’re a riot (and you might cause one too).
Thanks for the nice thoughts. I went through a sports craze in the early 90s and listened to every sports show I could find, watched ESPN Sportscenter, etc. … then got too busy working away from home and now I’m so ignorant!
