We’ve all been on outrage overload lately and we vent in various ways. Some write diaries, some speak with like-minded individuals. Some pick up a paintbrush.
Yesterday I picked up mine and did my portrait of the madman. Oh, not the one in the marketplace, the other one. The one in the White House. It is seen below. And if a picture is worth a thousand words, then this one is worth, umm, well, at least a few, given the subject.
Don’t laugh, it’s hard enough doing my usual landscapes. I don’t pretend to be a painter of portraits. This is actually my first.
And though the results are more of a caricature, I must say that, at least temporarily, some anger has been purged from my system. Try it, even if you produce only a stick figure. I highly recommend this process.
Hmm, maybe I’ll paint an arrow through his head, like the old Steve Martin routine.
