At the moment, it’s not having enough hours in the day and not enough of me to go around to do all the things I want to do, or write all the things I need to write. I am way on the other side of pissed off at all the fat cat white male religious freakazoid *asshats who think having money a shriveled up penis grants them the right to control womens bodies and lives. May they all someday need a catherization and may I please be thier nurse.
I am beyond pissed at ALL arrogant, willful ignorance on the part of all who choose not to understand that basic human rights need to be entend to all human beings. In fact I am so pissed off I need to go take a walk, freezing out or not.
Heh, I came in here to tell Brother Boo that he didn’t even begin to have the kinda time it would take to read my answer to a question like, “What’s pissing you off?”, but here you went and summed it up pretty concisely:

Must-read report from Amnesty International – Beyond Abu Ghraib: detention and torture in Iraq
Last night they led with a story about how Iran was supplying weapons to Iraqi insurgents. Whether or not this is true, highlighting it the way they did was clearly a propogandist effort to fuel the notion that war with Iran is a good idea. Any story coming from “military or government officials” must be questioned, and not just reported breathlessly word for word like some PR secretary for GWB. ABC “News” go fuck yourself.
I’m still pissed off that the dem leaders don’t listen to us, especially on the Alito nomination.

Of course. I never considered it not worked out. 😉 I don’t carry any negative feelings from having different opinions or spirited discussions. I probably give more thought to pet adoption suggestions now, too. Regardless of all that, I’ve reconsidered the possibility of her running.

Jesus Boo, you’re just asking for it aren’t you. To paraphrase: How am I pissed off…let me count the ways.
It’s really hard to sustain positive thoughts about what is happening in this country and when I read my main news sources before I hit the Trib every day I have to fight the anger and despair daily…I go to Common Dreams, American Politics, Buzzflash and Drudge-just to see what the wingnuts are talking about and maybe a few other sidetrips before I get here as I said.
As for being pissed off-a rather mild word for what I feel-what’s not to be pissed off about?
The most obvious thing right this minute of course is the whole S.D. abortion law and the horrendous damage this is going to do to so many women-putting so many women in limbo if not death and it’s spreading like an evil fucking sickness to so many other states aided by a even more craven democrats.(how they can call themselves dems and be anti-choice is something I really can’t begin to comprehend).
I reserve my main anger as I’ve said over/over again not at bushco but the gdamn fucked up craven corporate owned mfucking MSM who have let this fascist administration operate with impunity and aided even abetted the whole criminal operation which included the massively corrupt Congress. If they-the MSM-were even half way doing their job and reporting honestly on the horrors of Iraq, the corruption, Katrina and so on and repeating this over/over (like Janet Jacksons tit)then just maybe the general public would have a clue and quite literally be marching in the streets.
Everything stems from them not doing their job…ignoring stolen elections, cheney and Halliburton, continued tax breaks for the rich which along with Iraq is helping bankrupt the country, outsourced jobs, turning this country into a third world country-a depression just like the 30’s is a hairsbreath away, the scary rise of the religious wingnuts who are in power and the list goes on and on and on as everyone here knows all to well.
Well thats a start anyway of my list.

Not that I’m any fan of the MSM or that I think they’re somehow doing their job, but …. it’s like a vicious circle … if the Dems in congress were putting up ANY kind of a fight, the media might have something to cover.
Like if Kerry and the lying-in-the-lap-of-luxury Dems would have raised holy hell about the theft of the election, I don’t think the media would have been able to ignore them.
Frankly, I almost feel sorry for the media–if the democrats can’t give them any better footage than Janet J’s left tit and Terry Schiavo’s feeding tube….well.
Every time a dem has done something remotely brave, remotely “sensational”, the media has been there: Reids Rule 21 “stunt”, Murtha, etc. But you can’t expect the media to cover a bunch of rich dead white men standing around doing nothing–a half-dead white woman with an entourage of praying protesters is always going to trump that.
I’m tired of hearing them whine about not having the power to do anything. They do have power, much more than they use. And that’s the problem.
They should have been making a three-ring circus out of the Senate and House floors ever since 2000 (at the latest, after 2004). They aren’t doing their jobs–if one or the other (the media or the dems) would EVER START, then maybe the other one would be forced to follow suit.
Far as I’m concerned: I’m not necessarily paying the “media’s” salary–I am free to pick and choose what media I support with my dollaros and my time and attention.
I am, however, paying the stinking overblown SALARIES for these lying-in-the-lap-of-luxury Dems, and it pisses me off that they are not exercising every bit of power they do have to mobilize the media, mobilize the majority……I am soooooooooooo tired of paying taxes for these pigs to sit around and play bridge or whatever the hell they do when they aren’t working (which is apparently 90% of the time).
Maybe if the dems were DOING anything, if they were even saying anything remotely related to truth and reality, the media would give them some coverage.
