Good Morning everyone!!!! I am so glad Friday has finally arrived. I am really looking forward to this weekend as several designers from all over the country are coming to Austin for a meet and greet. It should be a lot of fun. The official get together is Sunday but some of them are coming into town early. It should be a busy but interesting weekend. LOL
Friday? Great.
The days are blurring into each other where I am at the moment. Good to know that I’ll be heading home soon (getting on the plane 36 hrs from now + just over 20 hrs travel time).
Good morning all,
I see it is quite busy at an early hour in the Cafe.
Came back from Juba to Khartoum last night – just barely, visibility in the dust as if it was foggy. Our flight was the last to land for the day.
What is the forecast for NY area Sunday – I came with a winter coat, as it was snowing when I left. Can I pack it in checked luggage?
Thanks, FM.
That sounds just perfect. Most days here have been 100+, but the dust storm last night brought a change in weather – it is a pleasant 85-90 out there today.
Supposed to go to the doctor to get the former lump checked out, but it’s supposed to be really stormy today; tempted to call and reschedule it for Monday, especially since it seems to be healing okay. (And I would love to be able to go back to bed after the spouse changes the bandage.)
Will think about it…maybe I’ll go check The Weather Channel…
Mornin’ all — ooh, my head hurts. Don’t let anybody tell you a sugar hangover can’t be worse than one from alcohol. View out the window disagrees with Cali’s forecast (more like overcast, looks like threat of showers), but around these parts this time of year, I’ll bet on Cali’s.
Hey, all. Great to see you on this gloomy Catskills day. Heavy grey clouds blanket us, no doubt swollen with rain — but the current temperature’s about 52 F, so I can’t complain too much. Three enormous flocks of geese have passed overhead this morning, heading north.
Hope everyone’s looking forward to a fine, mellow weekend.
The sad condition of so many of our national neighbors continues to astound me — but, quite personally, I refuse to allow their sickness to reach into my heart. If I do, I might as well hang it up.
We’re supposed to get a foot or two this weekend. It always makes me pissed off that I’m disabled and I can’t ski anymore — even though I’d wrecked my knees by the time I took the sport up so never skied very well in the first place.
supposed to be bad by tonight, and I’m headed out of town for the weekend. I should be packing now… but…
there was some very disturbing news in my local paper this morning. I certainly was not intending to do a diary today, but I felt compelled to do so. The whole thing was going to make me ill otherwise.
It’s really time that all this insanity comes to an end rather than increasing exponentially by the week.
I’ll be on the road, and hopefully beat the snow, and then on 31.2K dialup over the weekend.
I’ll try to get some fun pictures of this BLISSART, as we Norskies call them>
and there are cookie crumbs all over the place.
I guess mary went on a cookie binge after Luke and I left for Maui. LOL
Good morning,
refinish.
LOL Good morning!!!!

Wow, first you hang out with the political movers and shakers and now its vera wang time. You are just too kewl for us. 🙂
LOL Not clothing designers. It is designers for t-shirts and bumper stickers.
And you aren’t the vera wang of the t-shirt designers? Of course you are.
LOL Well at least you picked Vera cause she is butcher than most of the male designers out there. LOL
Wait…she’s a butcher? I thought she was a designer. Gaaaa, it’s too early, I need coffee.
ROTFLMAO!!!!
Friday? Great.

Good Morning Ask.
I’m glad to hear you are OK.
Keep drinking that water and stay safe.
In case we don’t ‘talk’ before you leave — a pleasant (as possible) journey and a safe return (especially to your bed which has been missing you).
Good Morning Everyone.
Good morning, FM!
It’s a gorgeous day here…temps in the 60-70 range! Can’t wait to head out for a walk with the dogs.
Good Morning CG!
We’ve got fog everywhere. It’s supposed to turn very pretty today though.
Huh, we never got that weather. I feel cheated. I certainly hope you don’t get what we’ve been having — two days of downpours with heavy winds.
Morning Andi.
Our weather is clearing up and supposed to nice today, but for the next three day rain.
I’m so happy. The leaves can stay for another week.
We have the winds…maybe I should check the weather this morning. It looks nice out there now, though…
Good morning to you. Have you recovered from being the host extraordinaire?
Partially, but I think it was more all the guest extraordinaire.

For Sunday the hi/low is 60/50.
Thanks, FM.

I lived in Texas onetime and when I got to work one day I commented to my boss about the fog. He said no, it’s a dust storm. Blew me away.
With those temps. you definitely need your water. You stay safe until you get home to a big, big party.

Morning Cali.
Our storms went through yesterday. It wasn’t too bad except for the power going out.
I’m glad to hear you’re healing nicely.
Showers, heavy at times, possible thundershowers, localized hail. No way am I getting out in that muck…

So I was cruising Pandagon this morning (lead story is a very strange campaign ad for Vern Robinson in NC), and found a cool site…
Called the doctor’s office and they rescheduled me to Monday morning — so I can stay cozy and dry…
Good to hear you can stay comfy & out of the rain, Cali. It seems these storm systems are moving through quickly, too.
here in Silly Con Valley: 50 degrees.
Expected high in Philly: 71 degrees.
I am sooooo freakin’ jealous of BooMan (human and canine) right about now…
If it’ll make you feel any better Cali, we won’t get beyond hi 20’s – lo 30’s until Tues. w/ snow. 50 sounds pretty good!
Peace
Another day of sno and cold with slight relief forecast for sat. and then more white thru M-T.
Here’s a (bad) shot of fresh sno-shoe hare tracks B4 Bu stomped thru them trying to figure out where the little bugger went
Peace
Just when we’d given up on winter happening at all this year, we’ve got this going on outside today:
Is that a munchkin dressed in yellow?
I love your sense of absurd humor. Just love it.
Snow — it’s always prettiest when it is falling on someone else.
We’re supposed to get a foot or two this weekend. It always makes me pissed off that I’m disabled and I can’t ski anymore — even though I’d wrecked my knees by the time I took the sport up so never skied very well in the first place.
I was okay at skiing, just not stopping. Ask the diners on the outdoor patio at Arapahoe Basin.
I’m trying very hard not to smirk at what must have been a painful experience — oh wait, I’m wrong, I’m not trying at all.
