Did you ever watch an American Idol audition where the poor guy singing was so bad that you just couldn’t look? I get the same feeling every time Bush feels the necessity of warning the other kids on the block that if they don’t play his way, he’s gonna get somebody else to kick their ass. Bush just can’t help himself; he has to threaten everyone with his reverse Teddy Roosevelt psychology of “bleat loudly and carry a soft stick.” He is a President either in need of Viagara or overdosed on it, I can’t decide.
He’s a dilletante born on third base who thinks he hit a triple. I know that metaphor is old but it is so accurate.
