Josh Marshall seems to be keeping on top of this one. Just like someone said earlier, this keeps on giving and givin…;o)

following right along is this one..
from Knight Ridder
Hey, Booman, I thought of you when I read this one!!!!! ;o)
the american prospect
Happy day, Booman..:o)
good to know, thanks Brenda. We’re working to defeat Weldon out here. He’s a kook. But he occassionally does something worth while, like exposing the rot at the core of the 9/11 Commission.
I was aware that the sourcing on his book came indirectly though Ghorbanifar. But it is good to see the Prospect running down the details.
yup. Had just a thought you would like this one…;o)
Surprised, yet??!! This is why I can’t stand Carville and group.
same old shit from the clinton adm.
Oh, Booman, this is is for you, dear heart. I know it will absolutely thrill you to the bone.
that famous Ricky boy
Tom Brundy, American Farmer, speaking against a plan to line the All-American Canal and cut off the water seepage that sustains about 3000 acres of farms in Mexico:
“I’m a farmer and those guys are farmers,” said Tom Brundy, 49, who sends his four children to a private Catholic school in Mexicali. “I’d hate to have it happen to me.”
Can we get Mr. Brundy as Secretary of State?
may just provide the trip wire.. Jamie at Firedoglake points out this eye opener in court papers filed late on Friday. A few lines confirm what we knew – the lengths to which BushCo engaged to protect their lies:
While this defense will merit attention when pigs fly, an admittance in court docs that there was ‘finger pointing’ tells me someone’s signaling the firewall is about to break – like NOLA levees – and that a whole lot of finger-pointing is about to begin in earnest..
Ya see, Aspen Scooter likes sending written messages. Bare it all Scoot. Give us a strip.
And here’s a list of potential witnesses Libby could call based on what is in those filings.
No big surprises and the list is alphabetical so don’t draw too many conclusions about Richard Armitage being named first.
Looks like Hadley is going to be key:
Only a few new(ish) names including former CIA spokesman Bill Harlow who might be Libby’s source that Wilson’s wife worked at the CIA.
Libby’s defense team is doing what they’re being paid to do:-deflect from the charges against their client-a ‘memory loss defense’, he was a busy man and that someone else leaked covert agent Plame’s identity.
Libby has not been indicted for the leak. He’s indicted for perjury, obstruction and lying to the FBI. Do recall Fitz’s press conference that day of the indict announcement, he used the baseball analogy “sand in my eyes”
Yes, I’m well aware of what he was indicted for. I’m just enjoying this list of potential witnesses having heartburn.
Several commentaries I’ve read point to Libby’s trial as a potential embarrassment for Bush-that the focus will be on White House fixing intel to take us to war.
Imho, this guy is not fased by embarrassment. We’re entering our 4th year in Iraq and they’re still lying to us. Our 4th Year and marching toward a cost of a trillion $. But no money for medicare.
No lessons learned.
I wrote this diary commemorating the anniversary of the war, it’s sad that a year later, the commentary is still relevant in exactly the same way.
Yes, it is very sad. But it remains a good diary Manny.
I was still trying to get my blogging sea-legs at that point, it was my second diary…EVER. The Blogitis didn’t take long to infect me, as you can see.
You’re a natural 🙂
Bioweapons, Mycoherbicides & Bioherbicides. I originally wrote it for The Hemp Report, but it turned out really well and I thought that it was worth sharing with a larger audience.
Since I was too sick to go out and march today 🙁 I used this morning to catch up on my DVR backlog. One of the things I watched was yesterday’s “Countdown”; in a conversation with law professor Jonathan Turley, Keith Olbermann referred to a piece coming out in US News and World Report, stating that Bush administration officials sought approval to conduct warrantless searches of terror suspects homes, just as they’ve conducted warrantless wiretapping, right after 9/11. Of course, this would render null and void the 4th Amendment, which is pretty much what Turley said.
I went off and took a nap…but this still bugged me. So after I got up, I went to the US News website to take a look; according to Keith the story was to be posted on the website Friday night, and to appear in the printed magazine available Monday on newsstands.
Well, guess what? I couldn’t find anything about this story…and the transcript from Friday’s “Countdown” has not been posted yet either. (Actually none of the Friday transcripts for MSNBC have been posted, so that might just be a case of too much green beer.)
I normally don’t buy US News & World Report, but I’ll at least take a look-see at it Monday morning.
This is quite odd, though…
