Hey! That 4 looks good on you!
Omir has fixed the Robo-Rater!
I have to go back and try it. It looks cool! Does the bar have Bailey’s this evening?
Let me dig behind the bar … I’m sure we have some somewhere.
How’s this?
Thank you
I found this lovely Bailey’s Irish Cream cake. Would anyone like a slice?

that looks great!
I think I have asked this before, but…
Photobucket has changed something, so now I get that annoying little code next to my pictures. Any suggestions to make it go away?
I don’t remember. If Andi was here she’d know. Maybe dada knows?
Yes. You can delete the first line of code up to where the "blank" meets the carat, and then you can delete the very ending of the code that is the close a tag, which looks like this: </a>.
So your code should start with this: <img
and as long as you get rid of that </a> at the end, you should get a clean picture. Preview to check, as always. π
Did you exhaust yourself today? (I’m mother henning in Andi’s place, but I won’t be as good.)
I haven’t been un-exhausted since I became disabled 7 years ago. π That’s part of the challenge of this move thing for me.
But what happened today was I took a dinner break to eat some of that pork rib & bean soup I made, and now I’m too full to move, lol. It’s a good thing.
Have you had a nice day off?
I guess the soup turned out then? Second Nature will be relieved that her pork advice worked out.
I got a lot done today, it was a good day.
It was tasty but a little bland for my preferences, I’ve got to hit her up for some spice advice next time we cross paths.
She’d be the one; I’m not an experimental cook. If it’s not in the recipe, I don’t put it in.
a very good spice with pork is Cumin…I also like to marinade with white wine and Basil..’.White Wine Worcestershire Sauce’ [Lea &Perrins’] also works, and hot peppers are always good…don’t scrimp.
Enjoy
Peace
I used to love Worcestershire, but I can’t have it anymore because I’m allergic to soy. I did use some sherry to brown up the ribs but next time I will definitely marinade them. I’ve never used cumin and rarely cook with peppers, but will experiment with both next time. Thanks for the excellent suggestions, dada!
made me go to the kitchen and get the bottle…Lea & Perrins’ Marinade for Chicken…no soy noted on the label…no MSG either, which I am extremely sensitive to, check it out next time you go to market. It’s also very good to use with seafood. ie: saltwater var., chicken and as part of other things as well.
Cumin is used a lot in Cajun cooking…somewhat similar, IMO, to some curries.
Unlike Maryb, I experiment a lot…the only downside is ya gotta be prepared to eat the results…I do pretty well in that regard…:{)
Enjoy.
Yay on the soy-free marinade, I will look for it, and yum on the cajun cookin’.
Is that a smiley with a moustache? That’s adorable.
You mean like this?
He looks too clean to be feeding himself. Are you sure there’s something in the bowl?
The picture is dark and the food is applesauce, so it doesn’t show up so well.
What is his favorite food?
He loves sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, and bread. He loves his morning oatmeal. The only food he regularly rejects are long noodles, like spaghetti.
he’s attracted to orange? hmmm
did you get all your papers graded? I forgot to ask Jim earlier.
Finished grading papers? (TT sobs hysterically and places head down on 8 more journals to read)
I’m never done, which is why I want to be a librarian.
I’m sorry!
PLEASE don’t cry! Just forget those nasty old journals. Have some more of that bottle of baileys I found for you. Soon you won’t remember a thing!
I’m better now – thanks.
whew.
I could be kicked out of the Froggy Bottom bartenders guild if I make the patrons cry.
Oh, you’ve made me feel guilty, and I was just sitting in the corner drinking quietly. I have papers to grade, too. NOOO.
I’m tired of being a good girl, and I just didn’t want to think about it anymore today.
We do not read further unless you have a very strong stomach, and are neither eating nor drinking at the moment cleaned under the refrigerator today. Actually rolled it out from the wall – groan – and scrubbed the floor.
See, I said it would be terrible.
I am terrible about housework, which I regard as an invention of the devil.
for mentioning this amidst cute pictures and kid discussions. He really is cute, Toni.
You WERE quiet, sitting there in the corner drinking. But I find a few stiff drinks are often necessary after performing such a necessary, but unbearably disgusting, task.
You’ve had enough turmoil today — forget ANY grading.
True. I was about to say hi, but I saw that bottle at the end of the counter, and well. . if you were wondering where the second bottle of Bailey’s went. . .
Yuck under the fridge! I’d rather grade papers. I’m afraid to see under our stove.
Don’t feel guilty about the papers. Every time I blow off grading for a day, I wind up three weeks behind. I refuse to get too far behind for the last 10 weeks!
Holy cow!
I’m guessing the applesauce is the dessert?
Cuz from the looks of him he’s hiding a sirloin somewhere :o)
ROTFLMAO!!! The funny thing is he has a little belly and his pants are still falling off him!
Thanks Indy!
Anytime, Toni. I could never repay the debt I owe to good teachers. π
Meanwhile, that kid of yours is so cute he always makes me laugh out loud whenever I see him. Good for the spirit!
Any time – he lifts my spirits, too.
Use the “URL” in lieu of “TAG”
Auto Format code looks like this:
< img width=X src=URL > [NOTE: X Max=400]
Close ‘< >’s’ and it should work
Good luck
Peace
I’ll try this netx time – thanks dada.
Yep, that works, have a little beer.
I’ll just take the whole thing — it looks deeelicious!
Hello Maryb,
How are you?
Hey super, I’m good. How are you? I haven’t seen you in the cafe in ages.
did you bring the lotion SS?
Good to see you!
Peace
Don’t start Dada,
you don’t wanna know :o)
Good to see you too friend.
Good to know. Truth is I haven’t been anywhere around here in ages. It feels that way at least. Why do I deprive myself of your company so? :o)
I missed you and I’m glad you’re back.
I’ve missed you too dea….oops ;o)
Do you two need some privacy?
No, the more the merrier.
I’m so happy you’re back I’ll let you “dear” me for tonight.
but only for tonight.
what have you been up to? I don’t think you’ve been around since before you were supposed to march in Times square?
Your so good to me Maryb.
I’ve been working. Just that. Couldn’t make the March or Socal (heartbreaker) because of a death in my wife’s family. Life has a way of getting hold of your collar sometimes and reminding you what priorities are.
I’m fine though. Work is what I do best. Might as well give it hell ;o)
I saw that on your website. I’m sorry.
Just because you’re good at work doesn’t mean you should do it all the time. Balance, my friend.
And your pond friends worry about you when you don’t show up.
Hey super, so sorry for the loss in your family.
Thank you Indy. I’m just glad to be back here tonight where I belong ;o)
Like Pat Benatar sez:
We belong to the light
We belong to the thunder
We belong to the sound of the words
We’ve both fallen under
Whatever we deny or embrace
For worse or for better
We belong, we belong
We belong together…
Liberals may squabble, but we’re all family.
So true Indy
That’s the beauty of being a liberal. We care enough about each other to listen long enough to get inside each other’s skin and look at things from different perspectives.
Thanks :o)
{{{super and his family}}}
Thank you Mother Toni :o)
I caught some pictures of Andrew earlier today. He’s a little linebacker for crying out loud. What are you feeding that kid? ;o)
I know! I look at the pictures of him in China and I compare them to him now! I can’t believe it. In the 6 1/2 months we’ve been home, he has gained at least 5 lbs.
He only eats healthy food – 3 meals and 2 small snacks. He eats way healthier than me. He needs a bunch of new clothes.
He’s going to be needing a bunch of new clothes for the next 17 or 18 years Toni Lol
He’s precious.
Always nice to see you
You too, storyteller ;o)
Good to see you!
Hello lovely purple flower picture lady :o)
You’ve been missed around here! It’s really good to see you… {{{super}}}
Olivia….
thank you. that means so much :o)
It works w/ out fussing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I just noticed that you chose the tulip. Good choice!
Hey everyone! Just thought I’d pop in and say hello. What’s this about the robo rater?!?
Check out the end of the last cafe — it works! Although I don’t know about Macs.
Thanks! I just went for a look-see and loved how he makes the announcement sound like an infomercial — thanks Omir!!
I’m on a Mac with Safari, so I’ll try running it tonight if I have time and report back on the results. I’m still feeling a little skittish with my computer.
I understand the post-crash skittishness. Try it before late night.
Infomercial? LOL
YOU are wonderful! I bow before you.
Awwwww, you’re so nice. Too bad I’m not running for office, I’d be sure to have . . . ummmm, five votes.
You’re forgetting how we vote in the new millennium. If you can write code, you win.
sad …
but true
LOL! That’s true. Get me the Internet addresses of the Diebold computers where you guys live and I’ll make you all members of the House, whether you filed or not. π
Actually you don’t even need to write code, from what I remember. From what I remember you just need to be able to switch the numbers around in an Excel spreadsheet. And I got my start in spreadsheets over 20 years ago. (I learned in a hurry after I screwed up a spreadsheet one day at about 3 in the afternoon and had to stay at work until about 11 pm fixing it.)
It really shouldn’t be that easy to steal the keys to the wealthiest, most nuke-enriched country on the planet. I mean, my little Nissan is basically a go-kart with locking doors and it has better security than our voting process. We are so far on the other side of the looking glass, I think if we peek out the window, we’ll see the place where we originally fell through coming around again.
I would make a good representative, I think — but I have such a sketchy history from mainstream America’s pov that I could only get “elected” in the way you describe, lol.
I’m considering becoming a Mariners fan in honor of you and your magnificent invention.
American league only of course.
I could never abandon my Cardinals DESPITE yet another loss today to the Cubs ::sob::
Do the try-before-you-buy program to see if you really want to get behind the Mariners. They might be good or they might suck like a great big giant . . . um, sucking thing.
They can be very exciting, or there are days they can be exasperating. Sometimes they’re the same day.
LOL — it was the part “have you ever… Of course you have! And now you can!”
Or maybe I just watch too much tv and my brain is polluted. That’s a distinct possibility.
Thanks again, Omir. I’ll let you know how if it works for me, just probably not tonight. I’m in the middle of a paperwork nightmare thing here and just keep popping into the cafe like a safety-relief valve or something, so my head doesn’t explode.
That wasn’t at all intentional. I just knew a whole bunch of people had expressed excitement at the possibility of mass-rating the cafes, and it just came out that way.
Maybe I have a career ahead of me in huckstering. π
For those of you who missed it at the end of the last cafe, here once again is the link to Robo-Rater™ Just follow the directions, and delete the old one if you still have it.
I’ll be here watching the Mariners. They just finished a ceremony honoring longtime pitcher Dan Wilson, and Jamie Moyer just finished off the first three batters.
snot on a glass door knob here.
Translation for non-midwesterners: Robo-Rater works as advertised on TV. No need to cycle through home and back again.
Wwwwhhhhooooopppppeeee!!!!!!
that’s a really disgusting comparison. yuk!
you want to be up on the nomenclature, right?
absolutely!
I don’t have to USE the phrase right? Just know what people mean when they say it.
just think how impressed the local folks would be.
Second inning, runner on third with nobody out and we still can’t get him in.
This is why the Mariners can be exasperating. We seem to have a knack for doing silly things like stranding runners.

Note bench and rocks at bonfire pit which were under water here(larger) have reappeared now that the flood waters have receded.
Does it smell bad. Here it usually smells bad. But the water is so muddy, that might be part of it.
It was nice day for working, sunny, not too cool and not too warm.
Only thing that ever smells funny around this town is when the wind is coming from the direction of the sugar beet plant across the river in Moorhead, MN. And that can be bad. Luckily we don’t get wind out of the NE very often.
to have flood waters recede and not have a bad smell.
I’m happy for you though that you don’t experience that.
It looks like you had a lovely day. Are things getting warm out in ND?
warm in ND is always relative, as Einstein used to say.
So relatively speaking, yes, warming up, mid 50s for high today, but we had a 68F day last week.
And the sun was out with only an 8mph wind. Sun and wind are the critical factors, wind especially. If we have sun and no wind there’s no complaints.
I need to great you all before I’m comatose. This Bailey’s is very good.
So are the great flower pics. Think that color would look good in my back yard with the purple daylilies. .
I am calling it a night so I can read for a little while and maybe, get up a little early and hit the gym.
See evryone later. Kidspeak, have a slice of that Bailey’s cake. someone take the rest of it home, I don’t need it here.
Good night Toni!
New Lounge open over here
I just read this story … A choc a day keeps the doctor away:
