The NFL draft starts at noon eastern time. This is the first year I’ll be able to watch it without a wife guilt tripping me about it the whole time. I hope the Giants get a bad-ass linebacker like Chad Greenway from Iowa, or a guy to back up Tiki Barber, like LenDale White. Maybe a saftey or cornerback would be okay. What does your team need?

The Texans have already signed Defensive End Mario Williams of North Carolina State as the first overal pick. That was stupid because they could have traded down a couple spots and still got their man.
Now the Jets want to trade up to get the Saints pick to select Reggie Bush, running back from Southern California.
I don’t even begin to understand this stuff … sometimes I is glad to be a furriner…
The aints should trade away all their picks to someone who knows what to do with them. They always pick the wrong guys anyway. (sigh)
signed,
a long time serially abused aints ‘fan’
I can’t believe they didn’t sign Bush. One of the bigger blunders I can remember in recent times in the NFL draft.
The Saints took Reggie Bush. That is something for the Big Easy to celebrate. He’ll be scoring a lot of touchdowns for them.
Why the hell did the Jets take Ferguson?! I know they have problems there, but they don’t have a long-term quarterback. They had Leinart, and they didn’t take him.
Excuse me while I hurl myself out of my dorm window…
Cuz they signed Patrick Ramsey and they are hoping Pennington will come back from his injury.
Still, the may live to regret this.
Pennington isn’t known for having arm strength. Yet that’s the main strike against Leinart? Come on…
Linemen or nice, but the Jets need a franchise player now that Pennington has injured himself the past two years and Curtis Martin is clearly in decline. I’m just extremely disappointed.
I’d say the Cardinals will be winning a super bowl before the Jets.
But, it’s good for the Jets to get a left tackle. Their O-Line is a joke at the moment. They need a center too.
As a suffering Jet fan I’m disgusted. I understand their logic. The Jets are thinking, “we have holes everywhere” and “drafting a quarterback is a crapshoot.” True enough, and even selecting a quarterback who went on to have a successful career probably can’t contribute much this season. Also, perhaps they feel a young quarterback with an offensive line in shambles isn’t a good idea. But championship teams are built with franchise quarterbacks. I’ve always liked Penninton. He’s been snake bit. But he can no longer be considered as the one to lead them to the promise land. Ramsey is just a stop gap measure. I would’ve selected a Leinhart even if it meant writing off this season entirely. Hell, they’re going to lose this year anyway. Might as well develop a first rate quarterback for the future.
So, Tennessee took Vince Young, the QB from Texas and the Jets took D’Brickashaw Ferguson, the tackle from Virginia, and Heisman winner Matt Leinert is slipping down the charts. He could fall all the way to the Cardinals.
Eagles are on the clock. I wonder if they will take Chad Greenway.
an exorcism.
people must be excited to get a Heisman trophy winning quarterback to play for the Cards.
With Edgerrin James and their receivers, the team should score a lot of points.
Stanley Cup Playoffs 🙂 Whooot!! I’m in hockey heaven.
