It’s just that no one has ever accused me of lacking imagination in a cafe before. And sounded so exasperated about it too. Sheesh? I mean come on … do YOU think I’ve ever lacked imagination?
delivery guy idea anyway I don’t feel bad about that. The story was your idea, I was waiting to be entertained. Just because I have imagination doesn’t mean I should have to do ALL the work around here.
it’s floating around the cafe. It was playing a long slow sad song that you must have programmed into it, but I’ve changed it to country fiddle music and it’s heading over toward you right now to PLAY VERY LOUDLY IN YOUR EAR.
If these critters fail to elicit ooohs and aaahs, it will most surely be the fault of the overcast weather (which makes for poor photo opporatunities) and the photographer.
There names are Nina and Inti, and that’s the last hint I’m going to give.
Hey… Canes won the series and beat on Montreal That’ll make OMIR happy 😀
Anyways, I don’t know what’s going on with the log in thingy. Aside from the fact I use terms like “thingy”… I just noticed I have some autofill box that comes up with I log-in and that might be affecting matters(?) The Mr has that running, not I.
but I agree. Any time something bizarre happening here, I do that, and presto, no more problems. Might be a good idea to reboot after doing the enemas, (assuming nothing squishy in the “boot”.)
That an run and update of the virus protection if it ain’t already set to update automatically.
I cleaned out my cookies and noticed a new thing. When I log on in here from Damnit Janet to Froggybottom… an autofill box pops up and asks me to change my password/info. Never saw that before. I think it’s part of the netscape browser and might be a Mr. Damnit new thing. It doesn’t come on for my other chat. Odd.
Andi called to help me out – but not the same internet stuff. So one good thing, I got to hear her meldodius voice and she got to here my son being concerned that DanDan was perhaps watching a movie that was skeeery. :p
I know, I had to avoid this place for two days once we decided to go. ‘Cause I couldn’t face you.
But we were only there for our daughter’s BFA Exhibit (she won 1st Place!) and we took the kids to the Arch the next day.
And even that wiped us out. Well, driving around for 3 hours after the exhibit looking for an empty hotel room didn’t help either. Do you know how may proms there were in St. Louis last weekend? I think every couple had a room in a hotel we needed.
It was great! And her stuff is wonderful. I’ve got a photo, but I’ll let her put it on her site and post a link.
I could write a story about our trip. The hotel lost most of it’s power (we had lights and TV but at reduced/dim power) the kids across the hall didn’t have any power and spent most of the night hanging out in the hall right outside our door.
Hazelton? Or someplace like that. No place to eat anywhere.
Sorry you got caught in the power outage. Of course it was the FSM’s wrath because you didn’t tell me you were coming. I wondered what caused all that wind … 🙂
Sorry you weren’t feeling too hot. But you’re always hot to us 🙂
Pssst instead of waiting till I’m super duper hungry I’ve been making sure I eat something for late bfast and that I eat something for lunch. ACKK… I’m even eating cereal now 🙂 (((KatieBird)))
I had a maple bar yesterday – well about 2/3rds of one because of Olivia asking me what one was and I got to thinking about it… and got one on my way to the coffee shop LOL But it was too sugary kinda made me feel weird.
I tried some milk substitutes this weekend at the local organic type store. I like reduced fat organic milk over the soy stuff. And yeah, cereal fills ya up – as does bananas and Tillamook yogurt.
If I eat a late bfast I’m not so hungry and my body can handle a coffee type drink and sometimes a biscotti. But I also drink lots of water now, too. Hiking peeps in my family got me on the h2o kick.
Oh and good tortilla chips with gooood salsa is pretty handy for cravings… but I don’t crave if I don’t deny – which means I eat when I should rather than when I feel like it.
It was overcast this afternoon (I think I said yesterday it was going to rain today :P) and so I had to use the flash, which wouldn’t really work w/ wide angle. I’m planning on this w/e for sure!
Here — to make up for it, this is what is blooming right now in my front garden!!!

I will do it. And I’m now thinking about plans for the garden and I’ve pulled out my landscape w/ all my plants on it. I’ve still got the diary in the back of my mind … It’s been a tough week — I’m cramming here, trying to learn how to use this camera before the Tulip Fesitval starts this w/e so I don’t miss any of it b/c of camera ignorance! LOL
As I said to IVG, we have a spare bedroom (with a bed in it and everything) and would be more than happy to show visitors around the land downunder the Land Downunder (Tasmanina).
If you ever think you might be heading Antipodal, let us know and will have Luna warm the bed for you.
Of course, if you wanted to help us re-plant our garden with natives, you’d be especially welcome.
That would be wonderful! Not that it’s likely any time soon, but I will keep you in mind if it ever comes to fruition! I’m sure Luna warms a bed suberbly … 🙂
I’m going to put seeds on my list behind IVG’s moonflower links. Thank you! 🙂
Hehe. Age isn’t catching up to me…Sunday I finally had time to pick up BostonJoe’s book again, and ended up finishing it in one fell swoop. By the time I turned the last page it was 3 in the morning and all you old folks were already in bed 😉
I finally finished Crashing the Gate. I ended up putting it aside for a few weeks and then starting over. I guess I just wasn’t in the mood for it at the time.
Unsurprisingly, I thought half that book was crap and half of it was very insightful. Unfortunately in both cases it was all stuff I had more or less gathered from his site. I didn’t see a lot of Jerome’s influence in the book, but maybe that’s just because I don’t visit his site often so I’m not used to his style.
I wouldn’t be able to identify Jerome’s influence if it snuck up and bit me in the ass. I’ve never even bothered to register at MyDD. They use too many numbers.
I thought the chapter on consultants was great, the rest was ok. Probably good for people who don’t read about it every day. I’m going to pass it on to my dad — Mr. Democrat; doesn’t read blogs. I’ll see how he reacts.
I agree, the consultant part was definitely the highlight of the book. I would be curious what someone who isn’t a blog addict thinks, I hope you’ll be able to share some of your dad’s opinions after (if) he finishes it.
A friend of mine had an NFL draft party on Saturday that ran all day and long into the night. I’m not sure if I was still up at 5am CDT, but I am relatively sure I was in no shape to operate a computer 🙂
and the bonus coverage of CAR beating MON — Montreal won the first two games, then lost the next four…
Eastern Conference semis are set: Ottawa takes on Buffalo, and Carolina faces the NJ Devils. Good matchups all. No upsets in the Eastern Conference, while the West is full of upsets (Calgary remains of top four seed; will be buying tickets for Round 2 not knowing who we’ll be playing, just that we’ll have the first two games at home this weekend!). We’ll either be hosting Colorado (if Calgary wins) or Edmonton (if Anaheim wins).
Okay, hockey talk over…we now return you to your normal program (or programme for the Canadian folks) schedule… 🙂
The whistles have mojo, Cali!!! Wesley wanted Canes to win, because a guy on their team is called Wesley… anywhoos he was tootin’ away and sure enough they won. He “helped” 😀
Being not that familiar with hookahs, that looks more like some weird marital aid to me. Something to pleasure 3 people at a time.
Maybe it would relax Mr. Nature and you — in which case it could be a marital aid.
Where’s that cute Tuesday night bartender?
I think he saw a spider.
I didn’t hear any girly screaming …
I need something cold to drink.
Thanks Manny!
That reminds of of that yummy coconut sorbet from Trader Joe’s that comes in a coconut shell. Damn, why can’t we have Trader Joe’s in the south™.
Use your imagination and get your own!
Oh yeah, we have Piggy Wiggly instead. 🙁
talking like that and we might have to test Second Nature’s theory on the contraption above. (eww)
Although I’d recommend better dreams.
Oh, use your imagination, will ya? Sheesh.

Hmmm, and here I had a whole different connotation to the word.
It’s just that no one has ever accused me of lacking imagination in a cafe before. And sounded so exasperated about it too. Sheesh? I mean come on … do YOU think I’ve ever lacked imagination?
getting you to participate in the delivery guy in basement storyline.
delivery guy idea anyway I don’t feel bad about that. The story was your idea, I was waiting to be entertained. Just because I have imagination doesn’t mean I should have to do ALL the work around here.
a picture of a tiny violin but I figured why bother — you can just imagine it.
it’s floating around the cafe. It was playing a long slow sad song that you must have programmed into it, but I’ve changed it to country fiddle music and it’s heading over toward you right now to PLAY VERY LOUDLY IN YOUR EAR.
Any questions Andi?
ej’s picture was unnecessary since I was already blissfully enjoying Milstein playing Partita No. 2 in D minor.
your rainbow. I like it. Is that one of your pictures?
It’s one of Jim’s — from Kauai.
NOT
Don’t let Isabelle have any more. She’s mellow enough.
Isabelle looks comfortable 🙂 Pretty eyes. Much like Kitty’s green eyes.
She blinks when I take her photo -thus giving her a stoned look.
Thursday is only a day away (for those of us on this side of the International Date Line. And the Dog Blog is gonna be a douzzy!
We have two new members in our extended family, and I have many pictures of their exceptionally adorable selves to post.
You win for coolest critters, keres. All I have are cats and squirrels and big cockroaches.
setting yourself up for a false advertising lawsuit, I’ve seen the vicious creature that lurks in your bathtub.
We have big ca-ca-roaches here as well. But for some reason (yay!) they never seem to come in the house.
It’s pissing down rain (as the locals would say) at the moment, so Luna and I are enjoying a lazy day inside.
Unfortunately, I’m short on fire wood, so it’s gonna be a bit chill inside as well as out.
I figured out my camera problem and can post a couple of pix of Bud that I took recently. Can’t wait to meet your new masters, keres!
Be there, or be exceptionally square.
All this teasing ….
This better be good!
Moi? A tease. Hardly.
If these critters fail to elicit ooohs and aaahs, it will most surely be the fault of the overcast weather (which makes for poor photo opporatunities) and the photographer.

might just be lacking the proper stimulation…
Hi!!!
are you feeling better?
Yes, thanks. I don’t know what was wrong, I was dizzy all day. Maybe from going up to the top of the Arch?
you were in St. Louis and didn’t come see me?
::sniff::
I know, I had to avoid this place for two days once we decided to go. ‘Cause I couldn’t face you.

wow 1st place! That’s great! Is she finished with her degree now?
Where did you end up staying? And did you get any sleep with the prom goers partying and … making noise?
It was great! And her stuff is wonderful. I’ve got a photo, but I’ll let her put it on her site and post a link.

OOps that was supposed to be a dancing snoopy gif. But the avatar is no longer there in the hockey room that I snatched it from. DOH!
(((Hooray to your daughter!))))
I can’t wait until she gets the photos posted (she’s only waiting for me to e them to here). She looked totally cute that night.
How was your day yesterday?
feeling better, and not like this.
🙂
Yesterday was great, a lot of positive energy. The trick is to convert it to political power now.
(laughing)
Wow! That’s cool.
How’s it going?
Pretty well, Olivia. Except I haven’t been to your place lately. Hm. That’s not good.
It’s a shock to the system, isn’t it. I hadn’t had cereal and milk in 20 years until last fall.
A couple of weeks ago, I had toast and cheese (my former favorite breakfast) and could hardly make it through the morning until lunch.
Cereal and milk are much more filling.

You’ve got some beautiful photos up now.
to squeeze in so I could say ‘Hi’. HI!
I was out in the garden this evening — all kinds of stuff is blooming now!
my wide angle shot?
No. 🙂

Lovely.
I have this urge to “Pop”
I’m horrible around fuscias too. 😀
It’s like floral bubblewrap to me. So I tend to stay away from those.
and I guess it will have to hold me — since I don’t have a remote cable that’s long enough to take the shot from here.
LOL
you could always give yourself some breathing space and use the p&s at the tulip festival.
One thing I’ve learned: You can never go back … 🙂
(I think I might be turning into a camera snob!)
when you start planning which lens you are going to get next one or two years in advance.
It’s a whole new world — everytime I walk in the camera store I feel like a kid in a candy store … 🙂
I was just wondering if you went back to this cafe to see my Kangaroo Paw photos.
The next morning when I got up. 🙂 They’re all so beautiful and intriguing (ahem: fly-eater!) …
I’m w/ IVG — would love to visit and explore all the unique and wonderful flowers, plants, animals … 🙂
I still can’t get over the Black Coral Pea … that was unbelievable!
As I said to IVG, we have a spare bedroom (with a bed in it and everything) and would be more than happy to show visitors around the land downunder the Land Downunder (Tasmanina).

Of course, if you wanted to help us re-plant our garden with natives, you’d be especially welcome.
Oh, you can get a packet of Kennedia Nigricans seeds from this supplier in California, for a mere $3.50.
They can be weeds here, so be careful about containment if you are thinking of planting one.
That would be wonderful! Not that it’s likely any time soon, but I will keep you in mind if it ever comes to fruition! I’m sure Luna warms a bed suberbly … 🙂
I’m going to put seeds on my list behind IVG’s moonflower links. Thank you! 🙂
I’ll just spend a little time in this field of dreams.
If you build it…
feel cotton-mouthed.
Hi e!
Hey ManEe! Great lounge you got here, albeit a little smoky.
Anyone else suddenly really hungry?
Dreys All Fruit Popsicles. Strawberry or the Lime one.
Not that I know about that stuff or anything. Seriously, I wasn’t here. I didn’t say a thing. It wasn’t me.
🙂
DREYERS ALL FRUIT
I have to finish my pina colada first, but it looks like you won’t run out.
Hi ej 🙂
Nope, I think this should last at least a couple hours or so.
What happened to the Cards today? I just saw the score, looked like it must have been a pretty good pitching matchup.
dunno, I wasn’t able to hear it.
I’ve missed a few games actually cuz I’ve been busy.
we missed you in the Sunday night lounge — but we understood, age is catching up with you and you’re joining the geezer’s club. 😉

After reading it, I’m glad it wasn’t longer.
I wouldn’t be able to identify Jerome’s influence if it snuck up and bit me in the ass. I’ve never even bothered to register at MyDD. They use too many numbers.

didn’t see hide nor hair of ya in this 24/7 FBC when a whole bunch of so called “geezers” went past 5AM CDT.

dere’s some hope fer da BT whippersnappers yet, den!
You keep this up and you may yet see a sunrise coming at it from the night before… as olivia did… (helps to be in an earlier time zone)
I’ve done that many a time. Here’s a pic of the last one, 3.5 months ago in Acapulco:
“geezer” is a state of mind, not age.
Speaking of … has FM put in any kind of appearance today?
since the aforementioned night to morning FBC.
I hopr he’s OK. His migraines never seem to have lasted THIS long before.
hasn’t been around since Sunday morning. Either he had a lot to do after the wedding or he has a migraine .
