They get back stage passes to an Alice Cooper concert and when they meet him, Cooper starts spouting off about philosophy and history (it’s hilarious); then the two main characters break into tears and scream “We’re not worthy! We’re not worthy!” to him, bowing in homage.

I’m finishing up on my daily ration of chardonnay, and feel a nap coming on, but here is one of the shots from the Ultra Green Nursery in Sylmar yesterday.
(They had some grumpy froggies there. Not sure what their gripe was.)
Neat shot. I like the variegation in color in the petals, and, while the light is harsh it created interesting shadows.
Hi JimF! Yes, the light in the San Fernando Valley, which is basically a desert, is harsh and this was right around noon. I can picture how a shot with very different lighting could bring out the delicacy of the flower much better. Can you hear the relentless thunder of cars — exuding their poisonous fumes — passing eternally only inches away?

And speaking of sexy flowers I remember in jr. high my best friend Debbie and I were just in stiches when the science teacher explained about plant reproduction. We laughed so hard teras came out of our eyes and we could barely breath. Teenagers!

I couldn’t find Cat this morning when the first storm came. After it was gone, she was on the patio. She really gave me a hard time when she came in. She was none to happy.

I DO remember. IIRC, Andi was the Max fan. btw, just when you commented I was on the phone actually bitching about this whole thing with a friend.
Oh, and I agree that the “right now” ultimatum seemed forced, although they have been sort of hinting that she’s having a crisis of sorts, especially with Rori on her own now.
Basically, everything she did in last night’s show was ‘spoiled child’ behavior. Don’t get your way and go mope. Don’t get it some more, then throw a tantrum and do something that will ‘make them all sorry’.
that’s why I didn’t like it. It wasn’t in character for her to be that way.
It was in character for her to sabotage her own love life, but not that way.
Sherman-Palladino has known for good while that she probably wouldn’t be coming back — it kind of makes me wonder if she decided to write her feelings into the plotline of the show.
maybe she wanted to end it this season and the network wouldn’t allow it, so she sabotaged the plot. Isn’t that what happened when Sorkin left west wing?
I never watched the west wing so I don’t know about that but she didn’t want to end it this season she wanted one more on her terms and they wouldn’t agree. If nothing else, it seems all that ill will worked itself into the show.

But I’m not sure they made Loreli going to bed with Christopher believable.
Maybe she got drunk first? She had that dazed, horrified “what did I do” look in the morning.

LOL — I was thinking that, too. Although you never know with rich people.
The really troubling part to me is that I think they’ve made it pretty clear Luke is “the one.” But I don’t think his character would ever accept this — he just wouldn’t get over it. And Lorelai isn’t a liar. It seems like they’re backed into a corner.
I think it’s pretty clear that they don’t want her to get married — married life is boring — so they contrived a way to kill the chance or at least cause it severe bodily harm.
they should have ended the show this season. Then she and Luke could have ended up together.
it’s really hard to imagine a man who would get over it.
His fiance gives him an “elope with me now or its over ultimatum”, completely out of the blue and he doesn’t even really respond, he’s so taken aback. She walks away and goes and sleeps with her ex. Not something he’ll easily forgive.
On the other hand, I could completely understand how she’d do it. People do stupid things when they feel unloved and lonely. The writers (or editors) just ran out of time at the end of the show to really work with that part.
The new cafe is open. I’ve got to go for awhile, but I’ll check in later.
