Tucson is prehistoric beach front property. Long before the Colorado Plateau uplift, the Tucson area was under sea water. The limestone quaries in the area show this. Later after the Santa Catilina, Rincon, and Tucson mountains formed, they traped runoff waters in a large salt lake. So as Tucson lifted out of the muck, it has been beach front property at least twice in geological time. Just putting things in their proper perspective.

Just wanted to let you know I’ve been thinking of your place lately. I may move into a new apartment this summer and it is possible that I might even get to pick the colors. So, naturally, I keep thinking of your gorgeous color palatte and trying to figure out how I can either steal it outright or devise one that is a bit more red, without being too over the top. :>)

Try to stay away from the fire engine ones though. Then tend to get blinding. Brick red has alot of nice combos. Good to see ya. I think of our visit often.

I’ve heard now that in Edm they had a pix of Thornton up during the anthem and that led to some boos – but they were booing the image on the jumbotron you know.
And at the tank they had Pronger’s puss up on the tron during the anthem… fucking idiots!

Calif escrow repair crap has turned into an extortion crisis. Each day they want more and more money. yesterday they wanted 2,400 to replace a sliding glass door that was already taken care of…
Now the escrow – ie the money we needed to pay the promissary note on OR house.. won’t be in our bank Fri. so won’t be able to make the 20th deadline on the lcose of this house.
I thought it was just a matter of an addendum to ask for more time – but they have a back up buyer. ACK

I volunteered to stick around since our site is doubling as a polling station today. Gotta make sure no one walks off with any of our stuff. Mike’s eh? I had one bad night with Zima years ago and can’t handle anything that tastes remotely like it (even Alka-Seltzer)

Thanks. I was getting antsy — camera withdrawal. I was out in the garden when I got home — still raining, but I don’t care — I took some pix. A ton of stuff is out now: lily of the valley, tulips, columbine, all the rose bushes are leafed, my 2 peony plants are in full leaf and buds have appeared! Good stuff.

It didn’t rain today but it was overcast almost all day. Tomorrow though the forecast says partly cloudy so I have hopes.

What a pretty flower columbine are … I love them. Nice framing (by Jim I’m assuming?) — love the trailing yellow bits! It makes me think of a court jester’s hat!
The current one’s I’ve got are purple and white. I’m going to pop up a couple at the b hopefully for tomorrow morning.
We like colorado columbines, too. They’re such a pretty shade of purple (lavender?).
I was wrong about the sun. Right after I said no sun, the dogs had to go out and howl along with a owl and I saw that there was a sliver of sun coming through the trees. Made a nice webcam pic (posted below).

The other day for hte home inspection, it was 96 here in OR (WTF is up with that??) anyways, it was noon and HOT. And the canopy of trees out back kept it cool and comfortable. I’m gonna think of you and your trees every time I wake up 🙂

three apple trees full of blossoms, a couple more are partially blossomed out, a few very old and tall plum trees blossoming. There were so many bees and bugs on the one it sounded like a bee hive. Tried to get a macro of bumblebee, but I moved too fast and she got excited, circled me once… I stood very still, then she moved up higher on the tree. (No pics of anything till later in the week, no USB port here.)
