Not having the greatest of days around here…I’m so frustrated I could spit nails and build a china cabinet…
Have you ever tried grilling your pizzas directly on the grill? I did once last summer — makes a thinner, crisper crust. And you put the ingredients on backwards — so cheese first etc. so closer to the heat.
It’s about the only thing I cook inside. Never tried it on the WEBER, always seemed like a waste of charcoal.
And the cheese is supposed to go on first…:{) A friend of mine had a wood fired brick oven in the backyard of a house he bought…when they moved, many tears were shed.
And yes some cheese goes on bottom, but I usually put 2/3 on top – 1/3 on bottom.
It was a lot of work b/c I had to make the dough up and size it and put it on parchment and oil it and have all the toppings ready to go so that people could select what they wanted (individual pizzas) and then grill them.
Re: your friend’s oven: Did he bake stuff like bread in it?
ifr you must. It’ll be mo bettah. The only cheese I put on top is parmesan after it’s cooled.
They did a lot of stuff w/ that oven. One of the best thanksgiving dinners I have ever eaten was prepared in it. His wife is one hell of a cook…Italian heritage…I truly savor any invitation to dine at their table.
and yams, potatoes, veggies…the whole shebang. Very tasty!
Make my own dough…you jest! Get it from a local pizza place downtown; and if I’m feeling lazy, I’ll call ahead and have them make it-pick it up and cook it at home.
Ha — well, to make up for my cheese missteps — I make my own. It’s a special recipe which includes one bottle of premium cdn beer. I also have a whiskey one, but the beer one is mo bettah. It’s really easy to make. 🙂
Who’s Riley?
And btw, I’m listening to the CD, and I have to say I think I’m more taken w/ the C. Bell work. He’s great!
Carey Bell is awesome…the cat can blow, one of the very best harp players, ever!
Life of Riley was an old TV sitcom from the 50’s…way pre-Olivia…my parents used to make references to it…sort of a very early pre-cursor to All in the Family…which may also be pre-O…:{*)
I was referring to the railing of course, but hmmmm … you did say she was hot right? I enjoy a good view. So maybe … no, no. I wouldn’t want you to get arrested for being a voyageur … 😉 LOL
Husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday when we were laying on the bed snuggling. I told him that I wanted a membership to the YMCA since my asthma’s on the go. He rolls over and asks me if I just asked for a membership to the YMCA since my ass must go? My daughter’s boyfriend phones her because another girl has told him that she was flirting with somone. My daughter is pissed. She phones a friend who claims to have the girls number and gets the number. She dials the number and tells the female voice that answers, “What is this shit about me and Carrington?” The voice asks her who she was meaning to phone and then tells her that she is sorry but she has the wrong number. Don’t you all wish you lived at my house? It’s a riot tonight around here!
to your story…we could put together a hell of a sitcom and make a fortune which we’d donate to real progressive candidates, of course…after we got back from our six-months on a Caribbean beach being pampered by half-nekkid pool boys…
Sorry, I’m in one of those moods where a vacation from the spouse is looking quite appealing…sigh 🙂
I feel like I could put the random ten jobs on this. There is lots of stuff percolating. Plus, I skillfully delayed my start date at impending job to May 31 (after dutifully peeing in a jar after a one hour wait in a doctor’s office to pass the drug test) and have a little more wiggle room in my future before being chained to a desk again.
Amen to that!!! I can not tell you all the jobs I have had or careers. LOL I have moved over 45 times since the age of 25 and no I was not in the military.
Over 45 times! How in the heck do you keep track of that? Seems like it could be a good remedy if you have any inclinations towards being Clutter Bunny….
I’m just getting antsy about getting out there. There’s a different technique to it. It’s hard to take macros outside b/c of the wind etc., and the lighting is different and I need to practice and I can’t get out there… rant over. 🙂
The columbine I have on my b right now was taken outside, but last night I got mad and picked it so I could play w
Happy Friday to all my friends in the pond!!!!! You know I am always thinking of you even when I am away for a few days. This week has been very busy and very emotional one for me. The 1138 Dairy and the assholes in the Senate have touch some very raw nerves but I will survive and keep fighting.
Nah, just always been an Indians fan. And of course the Cavs are up 3 games to 2 over the Pistons in the second round of NBA playoffs after being down 2 – 0.
The blog is something I am working on this weekend along with more designs and two other websites. I also am going to start packing the house in preperation for the move in June.
shortly — I’m mad at the spouse so I’m making him take me out to dinner… lol We’ll get home to catch the last part of the Anaheim/Edmonton hockey game (go Ducks!), then probably watch Giants/A’s baseball if it doesn’t get rained out — we’ve got intermittent showers here today, so we’re preparing for Pilgrims:
Q. If April showers bring May flowers, then what do May flowers bring?
A. Pilgrims!
🙂
Okay, I’d better get out of here before I go completely bonkers (instead of partial)… 🙂
New Cafe open. Bring your songs and we supply the drinks.
OK we’ve got a new cafe, where is everybody?
before I could get my list in, so here goes:
Nutcracker: Danse Russe (comp. Tchaikovsky) — Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra

Love your 10 Cali. I’m actually knowing some of them.
Hope your day/evening get better.
Forgot who I was there for a minute. 🙂
after a toasty afternoon working on the deck here in the big city. Got the posts lined up and the top of the rail attached.
I was working under extremely hazardous conditions… however!!! Must tell dada…
Hit your thumb with a hammer? 🙂
nah, mostly just “screwing” around on this project, so no nails.
what, the cooler kept falling off the ladder?…bungie cords NDD, bungie cords.
The neighbor gal (27-29?) was out on her deck next door sunbathing. She works at Pracs, but could easily be a model.
Face down with no top… too bad it wasn’t Norway… they don’t concern themselves with tops while sunbathing there.
Had some difficulty “Chestering” up and down the steps.
Anyway, it was a severe distraction, but I presevered, maintained focus, and I still have all my appendages…
I think?
‘Chester’ indeed…glad ya didn’t cut somethin’ off just to induce her ta jump up…
now that I think of it a little ketchup and a scream might’ve done… wonders…
So are you going to show us some pix?
the deck railing or the young woman?
<aside> Hi O! Developing gills yet?
Lucky we got you here dada to keep an eye on the decorum…
Think I’ll wait with the pix till finished. Not much to show yet.
Somethin’ like “DEFCOM 3”? CODE RED? Damn. Your cover’s blown NDD… yer a BushCo™ mole…next stop WPP.
I’ve been on the list for over 3 decades… so, ha! “cover blown…” nothing new there!!!
Guess what I picked up tonight?
And yes, we’ll be waiting to hear your review later.
Needs a cold one, eh.
Negro Modelo, and Pacifico. Intend to abstain now until the trip to downtown is completed.
They might be gone when you get back. I have been known to take road trips for good beer.
got my frosty paralyzer right here, and it’s friends are in the cooler, the pizza’s made and in the fridg…I’m set for the evening.
Although I do have a link I’m dyin’ to work in…we shall see…:{)
And do you grill it or put in oven?
(And I hope you get a chance to use your link, but knowing you … I’m sure you will. 🙂
so have to use the conventional type. Tonight’s looks like this:
olive oil glaze w/ mozzarella, garlic, prosciutto, broccoli, roma toms, red onion, fortina, and oregano.
Basically, clean out the fridg. pie….13-14 min. @ 425f…voila! YUMMY!
Have you ever tried grilling your pizzas directly on the grill? I did once last summer — makes a thinner, crisper crust. And you put the ingredients on backwards — so cheese first etc. so closer to the heat.

That sounds wonderful d!
I’ll try out your application next time I make pizza. Do you make your own dough?
and yams, potatoes, veggies…the whole shebang. Very tasty!

FM and Riley got nothin’ on me…:{)

As for Riley, I take it this is a different Chester? 🙂
And I did watch Archie and Edith … on re-runs after school. 😛
That sounds amazing, with the exception of the oregano…
I just did… but sorry, no pix…
The CD came in today. 🙂
to your expectations…which cd did you get? The cut I played was from Blues Harp Meltdown Vol. 3 from THESE GUYS.
and that was the right song … And that is exactly the CD I got!
… but I had already hit post.
I was referring to the railing of course, but hmmmm … you did say she was hot right? I enjoy a good view. So maybe … no, no. I wouldn’t want you to get arrested for being a voyageur … 😉 LOL
Ya ya, you know the FBC is a dangerous place if one does not clarify, ha!!
time to hit the shower, MS NDD and I are headed out to a gallery opening this evening. More on all that sometime after 10PM!
Husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday when we were laying on the bed snuggling. I told him that I wanted a membership to the YMCA since my asthma’s on the go. Never a dull moment! So are you gonna get your ass/asthma to the gym?
Except for the situations, it sounds like my house.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!
As usual I’ve got to go run an errand.
See ya’ll later.
Have fun!!!!

in your lifetime, you’re doin’ real well. Going to interview at Cal/Monterey?
Amen to that!!! I can not tell you all the jobs I have had or careers. LOL I have moved over 45 times since the age of 25 and no I was not in the military.
Over 45 times! How in the heck do you keep track of that? Seems like it could be a good remedy if you have any inclinations towards being Clutter Bunny….
LOL, You would be surprised how well I can pack and move after all these years.
Could be a bundle in it for you, refin! LOL!
LOL I hate helping others move.
Yup, I think I will go to that interview, just for entertainment value. Plus have a potential client up there who wants me to do some contract work!
Probabaly have had lots more than 10 jobs, but don’t you think it would make an interesting random 10 game?
Some I’ve had I’d prefer to not recall. Kinda like the one I had that I quit after 4 hrs…never did get paid -Ha!
Lots of stuff percolating is a good thing?
Let’s only hope so! Still raining up there?
… but not clearing any time soon. At least I don’t have to worry about freckling in the sun … 🙂
Well, you know I’m wishing the best for you. {{{mm}}} 🙂
I hope it has cleared up enough for you to get out with your super-jazzy camera!
It’s too cloudy dark out there for the kind of close ups I want to do.
with indoor shots?
Nice to see you, I’ll be checking back in an hour or so, I’m just about down for the count for my nap now! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Happy Snoozing

Jim says to tell you he’s thinking about your email and he’ll answer it some time this weekend.
I haven’t used it outdoors yet, though.
LOL at the Jim says … and thanks!
Hi MM. Glad you got some wiggle room.
Now we need video’s of the wiggling. 😉
That’s just what I’m saying, FM. What does that Freedom Dance really look like?
Sorry MM I just caught this. I’m not sure what it looks like, but I would like to think it has a lot of wiggling. 😉
Happy Friday to all my friends in the pond!!!!! You know I am always thinking of you even when I am away for a few days. This week has been very busy and very emotional one for me. The 1138 Dairy and the assholes in the Senate have touch some very raw nerves but I will survive and keep fighting.
Good to see you popping in! Are you going out tonight or staying home?
Howdy!!!! No I am staying home!!!! I need some down time or at least what I call down time. LOL
They must miss you!
LOL They have been right at my side since I got home today. LOL
It’s nice to be loved like that, isn’t it!
Who’s home?
I’m watching the Indians play the Pirates online. Jacob’s Field looks gorgeous.
A true sports fanatic. 🙂
Nah, just always been an Indians fan. And of course the Cavs are up 3 games to 2 over the Pistons in the second round of NBA playoffs after being down 2 – 0.
The most surprising thing to me is at my Mom’s age she has become a sports fanatic.
She hardly misses any games, but then again, she doesn’t miss Judge Judy or Wheel of Fortune.
What teams does she follow?
She’s more basketball and football. When my youngest brother is here they’ll watch baseball together, but I’m not sure what teams.
Howdy Familyman!!!! I am home and staying ho0me all weekend except for running a few errands.
Glad to hear you’re going to try and take it a little easier.
Heard you podcast today. When will you ever get something for comments on your blog.
The blog is something I am working on this weekend along with more designs and two other websites. I also am going to start packing the house in preperation for the move in June.
I just get tired thinking about all the stuff you’re doing.
ROTFLMAO!!!! Well, with all the entertaining you do with family, I think you are much busier than you let on.
With my family I don’t think I would use the word entertaining. 😉
Did you keep the foam cover on them? Because I can’t keep them in my ears if I do but if I take them off, I don’t have any problems.
I’ll give that a try. I was thinking masking tape earlier, but….
Thanks Andi.
“I survived bush…” T-shirt debuts tonight at an art gallery opening. Let you know how it goes later.
Great!!!!!! I hope you have a blast at the art Gallery Opening!!!!
