Welcome back!
This week we’ll be continuing with the shadowy photo of Bode skiing, seen below.
Seen in the photo directly below are the initial brushstrokes. This is where we left off last week.
Since that time I’ve continued to paint and refine the piece. I’ve started to define both Bode and his shadow. The colors I’ve used will likely be changed a bit before the final painting. But these interim colors allow me to see things better. There is much work to do.
I’m using a new brand of acrylic paints. I’m very pleased, the colors are nice and coverage is very good.
I’ve said that this will be a more gradual process than other cycles so progress may seem less dramatic.
Next week I will continue adding definition to the various elements. See you then.
Paint me a picture of your thoughts.
Morning Boran. It looks to be coming along very nicely.
Good morning FM, thanks!
I’ve never been an artist, but my sister-in-lawn loves to paint. I’m going to try and take some pictures of what she’s done and post a little later, if that’s OK.
There’s a small college here that has adult classes and they offer painting from time to time. I keep telling her she should go to a couple of them.
Post ’em if you’ve got ’em!
Hey, another Bodie! I didn’t see last week’s. I don’t know if you can surpass the first Bodie — it was so good. But I’m glad you’re trying.
I guess the snow is the landscape 😉
A snowscape! 😉
