In S.E. Michigan we used to have Stroh’s, but they shut down. The name was sold to a Milwaukee brewer, but not enough is made/sold to be confident that you are getting fresh beer. So, Canadian beer like Labatt’s Blue and Molson Canadian are strong sellers here as is Fosters.
keepinon I don’t know if you were talking to me, but down here the Bud/Miller are the top sellers. They have others, but pretty expensive.

The other day I got some lettuce and as I’m cleaning it I noticed a rather subdued ladybug dude – subdued probably because of the fridge. We sat her/him out on the deck railing and after an hour she/he started crawling and flew off. Must’ve sucked to be having a snack and then carted off to a store and bagged by us for tacos. 🙂

Well it was just one. Snacking on lettuce. That’s the thing about organic veggies. No toxinx but sometimes you find critters.
On Cobb, there was a nesting area down a ways and they’d literally swarm the area a few times a year.

Hey FM! Been busy trying to stay cool today…it seems like July arrived over the weekend, judging by the weather. How about you?
Same here. Mid summer heat is already here. I just hate to think of July and August. 🙁
My air conditioner has been humming along today…I hate to think of my electric bill.
Ours has been going for a month now. Well ever since we got it fixed. We had a couple of days we could do without it, but not many.
We used to survive with just the celing fan, but the humidity is just unbelievable today. I think I lost 5 pounds of water going on my walk this morning.
I know what you mean. The humidity here is terrible. But it does get rid of that water weight. Of course, you just come back in and fill up on water again. 🙂
I seem to be walking around with an excess of that lately…. 🙁
The summer will take care of that.
Unless I’ve walked into another, “I’m retaining water and the cramps, the cramps!” If so, see ya. 🙂

my family is putting on a golf tournament on Sunday to benefit my uncle who has lung cancer. I know the majority of YKos stuff ends on Saturday but I’m feeling a heavy load of guilt for not being around to help everyone set stuff up beforehand. I just found out about it on Thursday, blech.
Shoot. I’m sorry about your uncle.
Thx, he’s already stage 3 so we’re getting things together. He was an avid golfer, pretty decent at it too, so this will be a fitting way to help he and my tia make sure they have enough finances to cover treatment and [shudder] funeral expenses.
Okay, back to happy thoughts. I’ve got an East Coast trip planned for the fall, will make sure that the Philly area is one of my stops.

No biking — during the work week, I mostly stick to walking. In my younger days, I used to ride first thing but that kind of energy seems to be dying off right along with my brain cells.
