No I’m going through a cold right now. I’m feeling better than yesterday, so I’ll probably end up going. The appointment isn’t until 3:00 pm so I should be able to throw up a cafe and hopefully I be back by 5 or 6 pm.

I was just amusing myself reading up on all the flap over at DK. A GBCW diary from Armando — with over 700 comments — saying he’s quitting the blogosphere for good since NRO disclosed his real name and place of employment, where he’s a high-profile corporate lawyer.
It’s just so interesting how the blogsphere has created these very public figures who have secret real lives. Seems like a dangerous game, especially when you are as belligerent and aggressive as Armando has been.
So that’s my middle of the night wakefulness thought for the day!
I don’t have much to do with DK so I never realized that his real identity wasn’t known. Rather creepy of the NRO to do that but then again the NRO is pretty creepy in general.
I was just over at D.kos. Armando writing a GBCW! I couldn’t believe it! But as you say, it was over being outed, not about ruffled feathers. Apparently his real name, law firm, and client list is now being posted all over the net. He says this is creating real problems, and he is leaving blogging.
That said, Armando remains his same self: Before he left D.kos, he troll rated a disagreeing opininon on the need and efficacy of anonymous internet names. 😀
Internet outing is shaping up at the Rethugs’ latest attack and intimidation tactic, so I guess one can only try to be prepared.
Oddly enough, my diaries at D.kos still exist, though the last was from nearly a year ago–just about the time of the pie fight!
Many Bloggers I know are unable to have their pictures taken at events because of work. I am lucky in that as long as I do not say I speak for the company I work for they don’t care.

Naps are fun, but only in conjuction with sleeping. I find when I can get a good night of sleep and still nap during the day, it’s sort of like a guilty pleasure.

Another day waiting around all day for my five minute court appearance. Problem is I wore my only presentable “real world” outfit yesterday and I have nothing for today since I spend my entire life in sweats or yoga-type clothes.

Agreed, it’s not a pleasant trade-off — but there’s no choice in the matter unless I wish to have power/phone lines run up to my property, which would seriously impact its beauty & integrity, to my mind, since this involved lumbering. To quote DJ: ack!!
The land farther up the mountain is currently for sale, though. Maybe the purchasers will want to run the lines up, in which case my own feelings aren’t likely to matter.
All I can say is: I’m looking forward to getting to know my local library!
Actually I think it’s great. I used to be in our local library about every other day. I went through a period of reading constantly, but have since fell out of it.
I’m sure if I didn’t have access to the net, I would be reading a lot more.
I’m looking forward to doing both at the library — especially ’cause I’m currently disposing of almost all my books!

Thankfully, it hasn’t happened yet — & as I’m on a rather steep mountainside, I hope it doesn’t. The trees & plants now keep the land from sliding into the valley. This euqilibrium would be disturbed by installing the power poles.
