It’s beautiful.
taken earlier this spring.
is still waiting for some new company!!! Got something in the hopper?
I have a few things but I’ve been too tired and lazy this week to post them. I took some close-ups of the sweet peas tonight for you … I should probably just email it to you.
“squeaking wheel,” ha!
I’ve got people sending me 3-5 Meg files. If I’m in the boonies sometimes I have to send them to another identity to free up my server email space, and wait till I return to the city.
But while in the city, no problem with almost any size file, so far. Although with the big files it sometimes takes the NSA software at my Cableone.net server an hour or two to process… or so I think!
You know what’s crazy? You know what sweet pea petals remind me of? I can’t believe I’m going to say this … ah never mind … I can’t do it.
you’re…ah never mind… :{)
bok bok bok … π
The water drops really enhance the viewing experience as they trick the eyes into really examining detail around the whole scene.
Does your D70s shot result in 4X6 proportions, or did you do a crop for that?
No, that’s not cropped — it’s shrunk down. I halved it pixel-wise. The original looks exactly the same only it’s 3008×2000 and 3.68mb … I have the d70s set for the largest size.
So when are you getting one?
and mine shoots 4X3 ratio. So every last thing needs to be cropped prior to taking to the print shop, for either 8X10s, or 8X12s. Fine, now that I know why I was having problems with them. Now, I know enough to use my judgement and crop to a size ratio before I bring them in.
I don’t like leaving cropping judgements up to which ever yeahoo is working on a given day. No consistency. And usualy poor judgement besides.
D70s, well, we’ll see what sort of dollars are on inventory when this deck building is completed.
It’s shrinking … cropping cuts pieces out of the photo. Shrinking … the photo is as it was taken. π
Got it!
Actually what I was trying to say was that I’m surprised you don’t have to crop to get a 4X6 ratio. So in that way the D70s is like my 35 mm in which the film, or slide film is that ratio already.
And once again it makes me aware of the disadvantages of the point and shoot style. I’m almost wishing I hadn’t started out that way. But then maybe I’d have never gone digital without it either. I’m craving the D70 I can tell ya.
GNight again. and Thanks for the emailed copy!!!
It’ll soon be sunrise in Ottowa. My presence will be required tomorrow in RL so I’d better hang it ooop. Now.
Been another very pleasant evening.
Good night to you Olivia
and good night to dada too. Sleep well you guys.
And good night to Knuckle in the ocean world habitat.
Probably should call it here too O…and you were worried about the late shift bailin’ on the new lounge…Ha!
A pleasant good night to you, and Head, and good wishes for an easy day ahead.
Catch ya on the flip.
Peace
Good night — sweet dreams … π
Ok NDD, Where is this lake, please.
I`ve got a pic for you coming upin a min. It`s about this girl who just had a makeover. She`s nice & all that but how do I approach her to tell her , I think she should shave her great legs.
In the meantime I took a different approach in looking at some Red Hot Pokers today. This is what I mean.http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/3136/anopentubedscn76417ym.jpg
see Lake Agassiz comment downthread.

Sweet Marilyn here I come

very introspective and one of his best works, IMNSHO…it is one of my all time favorites.
May be a bit existential for some tastes…Eric Anderson:Ghosts Upon the Road c. 1989
very highly recommended
Thanks … π
I’m going to have to open up a dada file soon to keep track of your refs. Great! I like new inputs into my life. Can’t stand to do the same thing over and over again.
So be careful there … d’s dangerous! π
particular album very interesting…Eric’s a product of the 60’s anti-war/folk music scene…
lyrics to the title cut, from which the above quote is taken, are here
…I still shiver from the words but it’s there times I wonder when I’m alone and I don’t see you did I lose my way or did you lose yours
Here`s the girl I was talking about. I gave her a new house last year & loves it. She just moulted , but still has hairy legs. Her name is Pippi Longstocking.
What should I do?

The colours are just so vibrant …
amazing.
gotta ask…anybody else havin’ trouble w/ the margins or is it just me?.
What`s normal. Here`s a single.
The raw part is before opening. Cook with solar heat, add just a little water & enjoy. Feeds multitudes with no attitudes.

but are you operating in Firefox. If so try right click on any photo to get a menu with “properties” then left click on “properties”, then back out of all that, and presto my margins are fixed, if indeed they were goofy to begin with.
think i need to clear everything…it’s been squirrelly all night…brb.
tell the robin and the dog to let it alone…
Thanks, and actually I’ve got the whole video running in my mind. I’ve seen some interesting stuff in nature over the years too, but that sequence as told by dada is vivid for me.
connected to the mac? Next thing ya know you’ll be wantin’ to save the urban prairie dogs…
I thought you were doin’ that with your own to feet, ya know, just like the old singer sowing machines.
And did you clear your forms? π
I think Marilyn’s a bit too big and that’s skewing things…but much better – and faster – than before. Gets crowded in there I guess.
Marilyn being too big … bigger than life etc. π
What size screen do you have?
since every time I look at that my nightowl neck gets a little more twisted around.
14″…but there’s stuff I use that is on the desktop that makes it difficult to use the full screen…it works out…:{)
… you seem to have probs when the margins stretch.
Use a stick to push them into place if you`re having a problem. That`s what this guy does.

What’s left of it is the Red River of the North which runs between ND and MN and runs north through Manitoba and into Hudson Bay.
Lake Agassiz, shorter version
Lake Agassiz, longer version
I’ve got a crinoid fossil from 400 million years back, I’ll see if I can find the photo.
You guys must have stopped off for a “pick me upper” along the way.
A little more on the poker approach.

And the close-up of the ant up there is great!
Here`s another one. It seems like he figured out how to open those tubes.
I sent a single also, a solo wort.

Saw a bumper sticker today that said
“Hurricane Bush, America’s most Devastating Disaster”.
Ouch! Take that you wingnuts who voted for the idiot. It’s going to hurt a whole lot worse as election time draws nearer.
I hope I’ll see a lot more of them.
