I forgot I had a doctors appointment at 10:30 this morning, so if the cafe gets going I’ll be out for about 1 1/2 hours.
Not a problem — I can check in periodically and besides the day time cafes have been pretty slow.

Nope, no plans — just go for a walk as soon as the sun is up and work.

At the moment relative-free, but it might change today. With this group I never know. They were supposed to have been here Monday.

I got into the habit of getting up early years ago so I could get into work before everyone else. I found I could get a lot more work done without anyone around and the phones not ringing. The habit just stuck.
reading earning reports first before sunrise — it’s nice to know someone’s life is even less exciting than mine.

From sunny Oslo. Arrived a couple of hours ago with the asklets – two suitcases missing 🙁

Did not sleep one minute on the trip, so evening can’t come early enough (thankfully, it is 6 hrs ahead of you guys).
I always had really bad jet lag going back to Europe and never could sleep on a plane.
Hope you and the asklets have a good time.
Losing that night going east is tough. Once supper is served and the clean-up done, it’s only about an hour of darness before they start the breakfast.
The asklets are already enjoying the company of 3 cousins – more of that to come over the next few days.Is the heat still on? Quite warm here in Oslo, low 80s at the moment – it hardly ever reaches 90 at this latitude (similar to Anchorage).
Great to hear the asklets are having a good time.
Down here it’s supposed to go over 100 F again today. Thank goodness for AC. I’m ready for winter, even if we don’t get snow.

We lost it for 2-3 hours the night of the big storm. Par for the course in the land of the big old trees.
We’ve gone from 240,000 people without power to 80,000 without power this morning. The power company is still telling people not to generally expect anything before the weekend.
