Yesterday I got to see the last big of an amazing football game. Here in Portland we have COLLEGE teams to root for and get all crazy about. The Ducks football game was unbelievable and I don’t even like football.
Today… catch up on chores, made the kids rake leaves, deadhead roses and now going to instill some fine flick culture into their lives… “Footloose” LOL (hey it’s in widescreen.. and we’ve got hot chocolate with dulce de leche syrup.
on the highlights — refs may have blown it, but we’ll take it. If Cal doesn’t make it to the Rose Bowl (let’s not even TALK about Stanford, ick), we’ll root for Oregon as far as Pac-10 teams go, since the in-laws alma mater, UW, is in the dumpers.
We’re hoping to take advantage of the spouse’s continued hiatus from work to hit one of the Sharks’ open practices this coming week. If they allow cameras, I’ll try for a few shots for the hockey forum. Need to check when radio broadcasts start — knew it was getting close to hockey season when Traffic’s “Glad” popped up on my Random 10 this week. 🙂
“Footloose” is a guilty pleasure of mine — embarassed to say that I’ve STILL got “Slap Shot” sitting next to the DVD player! Perhaps tonight or tomorrow, finally…
