Have I mentioned that Comcast sucks? They suck.
So, what are you all doing over the weekend? Other than watching the Giants stomp the Seahawks I really don’t have any plans besides a Saturday morning Indian all-you-can-eat buffet. Can you say, “punjabi”?
Has anyone seen Bush’s quail-hunting sidekick? I get the feeling he is doing something evil somewhere.
Not really sure. Just had a surprise visit from the MIL and got rid of the man-cub for the weekend. Hubby doesn’t know yet. ๐
I am sure we’ll find something to do ๐
Luck you! I’ll be continuing to plot the downfall of the right this weekend. That and visiting with family.
Happy New Year!
Happy New year to you as well!
Other than watching the Giants stomp the Seahawks
In yer dreams, pal.
Hard to say. After that incredible win against the Iggles last weekend, the Giants may be better than I thought.
I still think that the Seahawks will win, though. They’re a solid team all around.
I don’t follow them much and was mostly yanking BooMan’s chain, but apparently there are two key factors for this game:
Here’s what the local paper has to say about the game:
Somehow I don’t think we can count on Feely biffing it three times again.
you better get the lead because the Giants haven’t had one yet. Their first lead was their sudden death victory touchdown on overtime against the Eagles. This team can flat out run the ball. The Eagles pass rush mystified them for 3 quarters but they solved it with the no-huddle offense.
They can score and their defense is a lot better than it has looked against two complicated and hard to solve offenses.
If they haven’t had the lead, how did they win?
Last score in overtime
That’s still a lead . . .
The ‘complicated and hard to solve offenses’ part is true, but they’re also one dimensional. I think the jury is out on the Giants D until they play a team that can acutally run the football effectively AND pass.
Although, I guess we don’t know if the Seahawks can run effectively after losing Steve Hutchinson either.
I guess that means neither team will come away knowing anything more than they came in with in that regard.
For the Hawks it probably all depends on how Branch does for the Hawks, and how Alexander’s foot is.
Oh yeah. And the game is at Qwest Field, maybe the loudest stadium in football. Incredibly loud. Jets taking off next to your ears loud. As reported in the paper today:
I think more on Alexander than on Branch. Branch was the best wide receiver on a team full of mediocre (but capable) ones in New England, and for that he wanted more money than he is really worth. Now he will be on a team full of mediocre (but capable) receivers plus Darrell Jackson. So he’ll help them, but it isn’t like they got a Chad Johnson or a Plaxico Burress or anything.
But yeah, it does get loud there. If the Giants end up behind towards the end, it will make it a little harder for Eli to run that no-huddle.
I really don’t have any plans besides a Saturday morning Indian all-you-can-eat buffet. Can you say, “punjabi”?
We’re going to see the musical “Bombay Dreams” tonight. One of these days I’d like to find someplace around here that has good saag paneer. There are a couple of Indian dishes I like but I never would have guessed even a few years ago that I would have liked what’s basically creamed spinach with cheese.
Has anyone seen Bush’s quail-hunting sidekick? I get the feeling he is doing something evil somewhere.
Well, duh. That’s what he does, wherever he is.
Boo, I think Philadelphia has RCN cable, no? That’s what I use for Net and phone with no real complaints. Well, contacting them by phone is maddening, but no worse than everyplace else. Might be worth checking out.
tonight — spouse wants fish but I don’t want to cook it.
Tomorrow hopefully borrowing the in-laws van to haul assorted crap to (a) recycling center (b) Goodwill and/or (c) off-site storage space, to make room for more important storage, specifically a bike or two for transportation/exercise…
My fridge has nothing alcoholic in it.
Dealing with insane concern trolls all week has driven me insane.
A public service announcement
Am I supposed to feel sorry for your lack of intoxicating liquids? ๐
Comcast doesn’t suck. Sucking would require a consistant inhalation, whereas Comcast service is intermittant at best. Shall we just say it hyperventilates?
I’ll be hopefully watching the Dolphins beat the lowly Titans. The fish are terrible so far this year. They were supposed to contend for the AFC East title, but it don’t look like that’s going to happen.
Then I got to watch the NASCAR race this Sunday. Go Jeff Gordon!!!!
The Yanks clinched, and that’s a good thing. Getting ready for the playoffs.
At some point this season, Culpepper will get hurt and you will discover the exquisite torture on Joey Harrington. The Lions’ curse spreads!
“of Joey,” not “on Joey”
