        I’m thrilled they are there way anywhere — I screwed up the labels but wonderfully helpful woman at Fedex let me use her computer to get them again and made sure everything was done right (I hope).

Tea today: Tea source’s organic house darjeeling. Lovely stuff even if I didn’t find it until it was barely warm.

Agenda today: running around like a chicken. Sigh. That and maybe getting a little work done on the new book.

Thanks for the other diary, andif. I so enjoyed you all’s trip with the pictures! How I had wished I could have come….;o(…sigh….. I had wanted to do this and has sortta planned on it till I saw I had to work. I am so pleased that you all had a great time. It is always great to put a face with the words written…;o)
Well, I have to say I changed positions at work. This will allow me time off. YEA! I will no longer take call or do work at the hospital. I am back to the clinic and will have a definite schedule to follow which will allow me to have a life now! My kids are very pleased and so is my only living sibling. I am so happy I finally made the change. It was a hard decision to make but it was needed to be done for my family’s sake. I was not having time with my children and grandchildren and they take precedence over any job. I now can come home at a decent hour and do what others do with living! 15 years of this kind of living was taking a toll on me. I had no relief from this position and it was getting to me..being on call 24/7 was not a way to live.
My cats are even happy! They seem more content….if that could be possible….;o)
Anyhow, so good to see you all had a great time. I just knew you would. hugs to all…..

The kitty in question is a maneki neko-Japanese for “beckoning cat”. As in some other Asian cultures, you do not beckon people with the crooked finger (considered rude) but in a fashion that looks to us like a wave. So it’s saying “come on in and buy stuff!” Shopkeepers put them near their doors to lure in customers. The cat is holding a “koban” I think, an old-fashioned unit of money. Shopkeepers from other parts of Asian have also adopted this good fortune kitty.
My birthday vacation was so wild and intense that I’m still recovering! Thanks to all of you for your kind wishes-what a surprise that was! Hope your hoppin’ week goes well!

The good news is, I’m here at work after three months off.

The bad news is, I’m using IE7, and the layout sucks as bad as I can remember as far as BT is concerned. Time to go pull out my copy of Firefox.

It’s been a rather interesting 24 hours, and not entirely in a good way. I’ll tell you all about it later.
