Dan Eggen has an article in the Washington Post, entitled Cheney’s Remarks Fuel Torture Debate. I have to note for the record that the debate over torture took place two weeks ago and that advocates of torture won.

because he wants to remind voters what pussies the democrats are. It is disheartening that so many Americans support torture and they equate being against torture as being a pussy. Shameful! Shameful! Shameful! I am sorry to say this (again) but I would like to waterboard some of these torture supporters. Just for a few seconds. I know, I know, I am bad. You have to remember that I was raised republican so I like to consider myself a recovering republican.

Cheney said nothing as to the moral and practical issues about cruel interrogations. He talks as if a “terrorism suspect” is guilty (and so has information to divulge in the first place).
The country may not recover from these two “leaders” in my lifetime.
You have to remember the 1% doctrine – if there’s 1% possibility he is a terrist, you get to torture.
