at least until I can truly emulate you and reach the bliss of retirement.
Speaking of the never ending — Giddy is tapping her watch, metaphorically speaking. (I think this is the last week for morning walking, I’m not looking forward to her adjustment period.)
My sympathies for the early risers. I had front in insomnia last night and so I’m moving v e r y slowly this morning. I’ve got my deadline work cleared away for a while and so have gotten back to the new spec book, which I’m loving.
Today’s tea supplied fres and warm by the lovely Dr.Mc. Earl Grayer.
Mornin’ Kelly, Someday I hope to have all my work caught up enough to read WebMage. BTW, have you seen anything from kansas here recently? I miss her posts. Maybe I just haven’t been around at the right time.
Morning olivia and thanks! As I’ve now reached geezerhood, its good to have health care locked in for another 4 years.
I went to another training class for the new job this week and it happened to be in a nearby city where my son manages a downtown bar, so was able to have lunch with him – a rare treat. Both my boys grew up to be bartenders, an honorable profession, IMHO 😉
It’s nice to be working on something totally new again, though this one may not see print for a while yet, since I still have to finish it before I can find a publisher for it. In the meantime though, the deadline work was final revisions for Cybermancy (WebMage II) and proposals for two more WebMage books. My publisher is quite pleased with reviews and early numbers for WebMage, so things look promissing on that front.
They’ve got two more of my back catalogue they’re looking at as well, and three others are out with different editors. That’s actually kind of weird because there’s an unknown amount of work hovering in the ether. While I’d really love to see everything get picked up right now, if it did I’d be completely buried in work for the next year at the least. It’s a funny business.
Howdy Indiana, and congrats on your win! I hope you enjoy WebMage when you get to it. Kansas hasn’t been by the cafe in ages, at least not when I’ve been around, but I know she’s lurking at least once in a while because she had an open thread comment quite recently. Last time I chatted with her off-blog she said she’d been hanging around ManE’s blog, so if you want to say hi you might catch her there.
That’s funny, I was just wondering this morning if Manee was over his election fatigue yet. I think there were some triumphs as well as disappointments out there where he is. Glad to hear Kansas is ok. I always appreciate what she posts.
I’m sure I will be a fan of your books along with all the other great fantasy/sci fi authors I’ve known ever since I was a grade school kid many, many years ago. I’ve been reading bio’s of late, but am ready for some of my favorite genre!
Good morning Andi.
Did you get a good nights sleep last night?
but I woke up at 4.
Looks like you didn’t get much (any?) sleep at all.
Yeah I’ve been up since 1:30 am. Did you wake up on your own, or did the dogs pull you out of dreamland?
I usually wake up between 4 and 5; fortunately the 4 side of things is less common.
So you must be ready for a nap.
Yep a nap is fast approaching. But at the moment, I’m not tired at all.
Yikes!
I see a lot of naps today for you — at least I hope I do.
Good morning everyone.
Wow, you guys are up early/late today.
Morning CG. I think Andi is early and I’m late.
How’re you today?
Pretty good. The sun is shining, the winds have stopped.
The only bad thing is that I have to work today. :/
don’t sleep — it’s nature’s way of reminding you need to make use of the time you have left.
Good morning, Andi, FM and CG.
Weekend almost here.
Good morning ask. Were you able to slack at all during work yesterday?
Sorry, I’m afraid yesterday was above average in productivity.
Hi Ask. I’m certainly ready for the weekend to start but then I’m ready for the weekend to start on Monday morning.
Sounds like a never ending cycle.
at least until I can truly emulate you and reach the bliss of retirement.

See ya later.
That sound very familiar, Andi.
Good morning all and Happy Friday! I’m finally catching up with all the work I slacked on before the election. Nice path, Andi.

Indianadem, I haven’t had a chance yet to congratulate you on your win!
Kelly, good to hear that you’re back at your next book. Looking forward to it! 😉
I’ve been wondering about kansas too … It’s been a long time!

And yes, honourable profession indeed! LOL … 🙂

I can see how nebulous the whole world of publishing can be. Good to have a pleased publisher though 😀

Thanks for the congrats 😉
Or get both scifi and bio at once — the biography of James Tiptree, Jr/Alice Sheldon is excellent.
(Thanks for the compliment on the pic)
