Just when you thought it was safe to return to the internets, there it is staring back at you: BMT Art Fair 2007
Yes froggies, it’s that time again. Time to dig into your personal archives and pull out your original artwork for posting in the fair. But first a brief interruption.
Below is an important photo. Your mission, should you choose it, is to set forth a caption. You can post it here or over at my blog, the link to which is cleverly encrypted in my sig line in my insightful comment below.

Now back to the task at hand.
Set forth a preferred date in your comments below. (February 29 is not available.) Also, indicate whether you will submit art pieces and the nature thereof. (Us lawyers just love the word thereof! Just ask Maryb.)
Recommend so that all of our brave comrades can see this post.
Thank you for your consideration.
UPDATE:
Here is our logo, created today!
Anytime and maybe and not sure.
caption: “I’m STILL the biggest turkey in the house!”
I’ll try to come up with a logo for this thing. Last year we just posted small photos in an extended thread of about 65 comments, no html to worry about. The number of contributers was small but it was fun. Yes, submit photos of your kid’s work. (But forget about your mother-in-law.)
If you need any help w/ anything just let me know!
Thanks!

“Hehe, is this one of them ‘lawyer’ things that Dicky shot?”
I think the art fair is a great idea, but alas I am not an artist, nor do I play one on TV. As a programmer my idea of art would be utilizing polymorphic principles to implement variations on the visitor pattern. Somehow I don’t think that will be of interest to very many people around here 🙂
“HeHe …. you’ll never guess what me and my fraternity brothers did to one of these things one night …”
stereotyping is bad 🙁
You get the full on

One of my very good friends died. Before he did, he gave me some of his artwork. Nobody but a few people have ever seen his work. He was a friend of mine for 15 years before he died at the age of 80[approx.]
The works I have are mostly on etched zinc plates. Can I submit some of them? I`m going to try & print them, but I may be able to photograph the etchings from the plates. Before anybody says anything, he died over 28 years ago, & I`m OK with it. I`ve kept those plates with me from here to hell & back, & would love to show everybody his artwork that, in my opinion, is excellent. His whole life was about doing his art. When he didn`t have models, he`d go to the park & get old people to pose for him. He`d have them sit with a glass of water in their lap. I asked him,”why the glass of water?”. He said it prevented them from falling asleep more than once. An old jewish man, he had a major influence on my way of thinking & was one of the sweetest person I`ve know. His wife who is not yet pushing up Daisys {her name is Daisy] is now over 100 years old. She is also a terrific artist.
Sounds like a nice tribute to your old friend…
Please feel free to post them.
Wow, I’d love to see them, too. I love etchings. I’ve never tried to do them, but I admire anyone who can. As for photographing them, I think that would be very interesting in and of itself, also.
(aside) It’s a little known fact that Rembrandt did a huge number of etchings in his lifetime and many of them are considered to be among his finest works. They don’t have the pizzazz of “The Nightwatch”, but many of them are incredibly beautiful in their own right.
To Connecticutman1; “exactly”
To boran 2; Thanks, they are special, & I don`t think you`ll regret it.
To blueneck; You`ll be surprised, I`m sure.
Till then, if not sooner.
Washington Post:
President Bush nominated U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Samuel A. Tacchino Jr. to the Supreme Court yesterday, rallying his estranged Republican base back to his side and triggering a torrent of liberal attacks that could foreshadow a bruising ideological showdown over the future of the judiciary.
Wow,
It’s been a year already? I haven’t done much since then, but I’m sure I can rustle up a few things. And any day is fine with me.

See? Evolution is just a theory.
I saw the resemblance immediately.
