It’s Sunday; I’m not supposed to be up this early. Feh.
I sympathize with you…my dogs decided it was time to get up, and wouldn’t be dissuaded.
Plus it’s cold.
For once, I can’t even blame the dogs. I just woke up at 4 and couldn’t go back to sleep.
I hope it’s just cold outside and not inside.
Good morning ladies – is this the meeting of the Multiple Dogs Society? My dogs are from the subtropics – they won’t even consider going outdoors until the temp reaches at least 50.
First its breakfast, then back to sleep for them. Meanwhile I’m stuck in that photo.
My malamutt thinks that any temp above 50 is the tropics — she likes to sleep in the snow. The other two are prefer to sleep cuddled up to the wood stove but only the coonhound really hates the cold.
Sounds like we’ve got matching sets. I’ve got a Norwegian elkhound whose favorie bedtime story is about pulling sleds and hunting elk, and a Louisiana catahoula who thinks heaven is a bayou.
Both are dreamers, but life in Florida has corrupted their true natures and turned us all into hothouse flowers.
I see from them that it is possible for strangers to live together when they’re in the same boat.
Dogs are much better at being adaptive than humans — whether it is to other humans, their environs, or other animals. Sniff, our beagle-mix, had never been a house before he entered ours but determined that the couch was the love of his life in a matter of minutes.
Exactly what I’d do if you ever let me in. As long as there’s cookies occasionally.
Not fresh-baked but we have always have these.
There isn’t a beagle alive who doesn’t love a couch or futon. LOL
Morning Folks!!!! It is cold here or at least cold for Texas. LOL Andi I actually have a recipe for Monster Cookies that is incredible but makes so many cookies I only make them about once every 5 years. They have nuts, m&m’s, choclate chips and oatmeal and everything in them. I think I will put the recipe into a program I have and see about cutting it down in size.
I’d rather buy ’em than bake ’em.
Speaking of beagles, couches, and cold — mine has informed me that he is ready to get off the couch and go out into the cold.

Have a Rainbow Christmas
this morning. Putting up the tree today. This is going to be the best Christmas I’ve had in a few years. I can think about a few other things besides how long before the looneytoons running the country get everybody killed.
It was in the mide 30’s this morning and we’re still in shorts and t-shirts. Don’t you people from Colorado know how to take a little chill? Hell we don’t put on shoes until it snows. 🙂

Just been working on some new designs this am and drinking coffee. LOL How about with you?
So far, I’m I’m grading papers and sipping some hot chocolate. This afternoon, a girlfriend and I are taking a cooking class about chocolate.
The class sounds wonderful!!!! if you get any good recipes please share.
I will. I am very much looking forward to it.
I am an avid cook and collect cookbooks. I have over 500 and consider one a find if I just have one recipe I use out of it. LOL

good morning from placid cascadia! cold, clear, windy. have had a cold for four days so haven’t been whooping it up this weekend as usual but next saturday is santacon so hopefully I’m well enough to terrorize our downtown area with the rest of the mob. i’m thinking i’ll go as the black bloc elf if i can find some suitable ears.

Hi Olivia, big day today. The magnum is chilling.
New topic. For all in the tribe. I have a complete darkroom set-up. Some of the equipment is new, [never used]. This equipment is NOT FOR SALE. I`ll give it to anybody who will use it. It could be used in a photography class in a school. There are enough teachers here who may be able to steer someone here.
This equipment consists of all trays for the development process, plus a canister to develop the negatives. Mixing jars for the mixing of the chemicals in developing. A print dryer that accepts 10×16 prints.[approx]
Digital timers [2] with light rheostat control.
Negative holders for enlarging into prints. Tongs squeegees thermometers ect ect…darkroom lights..
A Beseler enlarger [new, has a few hrs of use] model 23C 11{roman numeral 2]. This item alone is worth over $600.00. There are many other items in this holiday package. Get busy, make someone happy & get a bunch of future photo journalists or hobbyists going. The age of the digital camera is here, but the age of enlightenment has always been. Teaching a subject that involves magic with light, has always fascinated people since the first shooting star or eclipse was seen.
Just got in — got up early, went and got our flu shots today, now my left arm is sore. 🙁 Had breakfast out, picked up a few last items, now I have to get started on packing, as well as typing up some instructions for the spouse if something should happen (not expecting anything to, but one never knows these days).
Will be good to get away, even if it’s to Lost Wages — need a change of scenery to clear out the cobwebs. Spouse and I had a good talk over breakfast over some of the issues that have been bugging me this year…I think we’ve started to clear the air, and can start afresh this holiday season.
