Along with “Raj of the Rug”, “Protector of the Loo”, and who could forget “Grand Poobah of the Ancient and Venerable Cult of FLoor Lickers” (GP-AVCFL), he has recently taken to sitting on boxes – which inspired yet another honorific.
From the top of this one, which I placed just inside the sliding glass door for his elevation, he is now also “King of all He surveys.”
Obviously, it was the King’s nap time.
He’s just soooo cute. I want to cuddle his curmudgeonly self. 🙂
It’s

I looked for a Genghis Bun photo, but didn’t have a good one. He’s doing it right now, but not in the light. I’ll give it a shot though. Crap, he just sat up to groom. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens. There is much activity at the moment, which usually means a side-flop is his next move.

Today she and another basset named Mischief tag teamed a pit bull that was tormenting them both separately. It was so fun to watch. If you can imagine an inch-worm running, that’s how HJ runs.

Yes, thank god they were clean. Even animals have enough sense not to sleep on the dirty underwear of a teenage boy.

Luna has to go through certain steps to make sure it is not still alive and waiting to bite her nose off.
First, is the cautious approach.
After this is the woo-wooing, and galumphing (sorry the pictures didn’t come out).
there is the subjugation of that thing that has a death grip on her butt (aka her tail).
After all that, the food can be safely eaten.
I can cut short this ritual by stomping around the food and otherwise showing her that I’ve subdued it. Merely handling it does not count.
