David Alexander with Reuters wrote today that the US consumes more than $200  billion per year in “illegal” drugs and that Marijuana is now by far its largest cash crop.
Funny how the US government didn’t care how many Akha died in Laos to get rid of the small amount of opium there. The DEA stomping on little old ladies. Watching while forced relocations caused half of villages to die in one year. Babies not excluded.

So now the US can continue to work to make sure that it has both the stay at home consumers and the production capacity to gel itself.

Makes me laugh when I think of thosen American missionaries who came up to Akha villages and took the Akha kids away because “their parents use drugs”.
