Iraq War Grief Daily Witness (photo) Day 445

this diary is dedicated to all who suffer because of war

we love and support our troops, just as we love and support the Iraqi people – without exception, or precondition, or judgment

we have no sympathy for the devil.

we acknowledge the power to act that is in us

Brazil – when hearts were entertaining June
we stood beneath an amber moon
and softly murmured “Someday soon”
we kissed and clung together

Then – tomorrow was another day
the morning found us miles away
with still a million things to say

And now, when twilight dims the sky above
recalling thrills of our love
there’s one thing I’m certain of
Return – I will –  to old Brazil
