Good morning Andi, Oui and Bob. Merry Christms to all.
Great image again, Andi. But we have not seen a snow flurry in the NY-area this side of summer..
Hasn’t done anything but flurries here (that picture is from last winter), though they are talking about maybe an inch or two tonight. I like snow, though not in the amounts in your picture.
Vast amounts of new snow ‘belong’ with Christmas mornings – at least the way I recall growing up. Out early, put on the skis on the porch and be the first one to make new tracks along one of the forest trails.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all my dear sweet froggie friends!!!! Thank you for helping me make it through the year and being there with a shoulder and a hug when I needed it, a comment to make me think, a dairy that expressed what I was thinking but couldn’t say as eloquently and of course for all the laughs!!!! You are a large part of my extended family and have made this past year much easier to get through. I wish you all Joy & Happiness and a Jamming New Year!!!!
Good morning, rf.
How is your Christmas morning coming along?
I saw your query on the book list for my daughter too late on Saturday + they were wrapped and I did not recall the titles.
Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul on Tough Stuff
Girls in Pants, The Third Summer of the Sisterhood (got it on a whim, but turns out she loved the first two of gthe series – I didn’t even know she had read them)
The Complete Idiot’s Guide to American Government
And the book she started reading last night…the last one!
What a great list of books!!! Christmas morning is going great. I did the Cool Yule design this am and am drinking coffee and chatting with my good buddies at booman. The Diva Dogs are curled up in bed and right now all is right in my small corner of the world. LOL
I hope your Christmas morning is going as well as mine.
Sounds like a great, peaceful morning, rf. What did you get the Diva dogs?
All is quiet here as well. curly and the asklets are still sleeping, I have already finished the first cup-a-joe some time ago. Time to prepare breakfast.
Thank you Miss Andi!!!! and back at ya. I guess I have gotten back into the design swing again and am actually having fun doing it. I know it is mighty late for Christmas designs but at least it is ready for next year. LOL
Hopey woke me up with a wet nose jammed into my eye socket (which is actually even less enjoyable than it sounds) at about 7:30. I think she was faked out by the dreariness into thinking it was much earlier.
It’s crummy here too but that didn’t seem to matter to sniff — actually his getting me up early is pretty unusual; it’s almost always giddy who gets up early.
Honey, I am sending you all the Holiday Cheer I can right now. Just think how happy everyone was digging into their stash last night and how green your lawn will be this spring because you are getting winter rain. LOL
Good morning, SN.
Sorry to hear of the dreary conditions on a morning like this. No sign of the sun here, either, but it’s not too dark. Hope you and family have a wonderful celebration.
Cats and boxes are an irresistible combination. My 18 pounder loves small boxes, the smaller the better. When she gets into a shoe box her luscious self puffs up over the top and she looks like a muffin.
Leftover ham for sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans. After thanksgiving we’re really sick of turkey with all the trimmings so we always have this meal. I tried to switch to something different this year but was met with much resistance.
What are you guys having? Probably something healthy and light.
Since it’s supposed to snow, we probably won’t grill it out but just use the broiler.
Oh yeah and we’re also having brussel sprouts, thanks to you. After you mentioned them the other day, I talked Jim into trying them since his opinion of them was based on his mother’s cooking them to mush and we wouldn’t be cooking them that way — and major success! Another brussel sproutian created.
Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone :o)
And especially to MaryB if she stops in…I’m sorry for our argument. You’re tops on my special Froggy list and I wouldn’t feel right today if I didn’t let you know that.
Thanks. I’m sorry for our argument too. It really upset me to leave things that way between us, especially right before Christmas. It makes me especially happy to have you around when I’m here even if, maybe because, I can’t be here as often as I would like or even in the way that I would like. I’d never want that to change. I hope you had a Merry Christmas.
I hope everyone is having as wonderful a morning as we are here at Chez Cabin! The dogs have new bones, the CabinBoys are enjoying their gifts, and the adults are amped on espresso and cappuccino from the new espresso/coffeemaker… 🙂
All the gifts have been opened and the paper cleaned up. Our daughter left with her boyfriend to make their own Christmas rounds to friends and some of his family. Big adjustment for mom and dad, one of our children leaving us and the house on Christmas day.
Awww the nestling is testing her wings and Mama is missing her already. How sweet. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!!!!
Here is another holiday design I did this am. I guess I won’t have to work too hard next christmas season. LOL
This one has not even been uploaded at the site yet. I will wait on that.
Card, shirts, mugs you name it. LOL I will check back from work as I need to take a shower and head over to austin. I am sure it will be slow today so I will cehck in when I can. LOL
Morning Froggies. How is everyone? Merry ChristmaS to one and all.
The munchkin, amazingly, has not yet woken up so we have a momentary reprieve. There’s something to be said about the peace and quiet of Christmas before the Shredding of Wrapping begins.
I’ve been busy the last couple of days and haven’t had a chance to offer my best wishes to all in this season and to say how happy I am to be part of this great community as we celebrate our 2nd Xmas together.
Yesterday I baked all day(well I only made 2 things, but it seemed like all day) and today I am taking my food to daughters house for our gifting session. Hey,
I made a decadent chocolate bundt cake that only had one mishap when it didn’t all turn out of the pan so I had to do some rescue work, but a nice layer of icing patched it all up and looks great.
Thanks to all of you for being there and being who you are…should that be whom????
Love and hugs to one and all, ho, ho, ho.
Good afternoon everyone. We’ve just picked up all the wrapping paper and are about to put Andrew down for a nap. He had a great time and it was a blast to watch him.
Greetings & a happy holiday to all! Hope everyone’s having a good day (or, at very least, a day free of unbearable torment).
Thank you all for today’s truly luscious images! That’s a beautiful one up top, Andi. Thank you so very much for a truly wonderful holiday gift. Current conditions on the sand bar: 81 degrees, heat index 86, 73% humidity. It’s just not right.
🙂
because it has been a really crappy, rainy gray day here — if it’s going to be wet and gray, I’d much prefer snow. Also, the dogs don’t get nearly as wet.
I hope you are having a pleasurable day, despite the locale.
Thank you, Andi. The day’s nice enough, though I must say that after a month’s exposure to tv I’m about ready for the end of Christmas. My God!
I guess they’re talking about flurries for you this evening? That should be nice. I can see your lovely homestead in the woods under a pretty flurry, with woodsmoke puffing from your chimney & warm light in your window.
We’re actually under a tornado watch here & also expecting thunderstorms. It’s a wee bit breezy at the moment, but nothing interesting so far.
Pleasant dreams, SN. Thanks for your earlier images! It was great to see the Nature family!
Ryan looks a lot better than I did at the same point.
I see you’ve lost none of your lusciousness, either.
Sounds like a typical October snowfall in the Catskills — just a nice little change of scene.
They’ve still had next to none up there this year; they should have at least a foot on the ground by now, for sure. Too odd. Now they’ve only got about 3 months to make up a year’s snowfall. I don’t think it’ll happen.
I just looked at the extended forecast and it’s staying in the 40s-50s here for at least a week. So it looks like it might be snow free through the end of the year.
We never have snow cover that lasts the entire season but it would normally be at least 10 degress colder. And we usually have some snow in december, though most of our snow is in January and February.
Come on over to the new cafe — I posted a pic for you.
.
A Joyous Christmas day to all!
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Just don’t translate the lyrics or everybody will realize how un-Tannebaum my tree is. 🙂
.
my lips are forever sealed!
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Good Morning and Merry Christmas!
Hope you are already having a fine day and that it goes up from there.
Good morning Andi, Oui and Bob. Merry Christms to all.
Great image again, Andi. But we have not seen a snow flurry in the NY-area this side of summer..
It should look like this today:
Hasn’t done anything but flurries here (that picture is from last winter), though they are talking about maybe an inch or two tonight. I like snow, though not in the amounts in your picture.

Steve
Hah! You are as eloquent as they come.
Peace and joy and a jamming new year to you, too. 🙂
Thank you Second Nature. I am sending wonderful holiday hugs to you and all your family!!!! I really loved the pictures last night.
Good morning, rf.
How is your Christmas morning coming along?
I saw your query on the book list for my daughter too late on Saturday + they were wrapped and I did not recall the titles.
And the book she started reading last night…the last one!
What a great list of books!!! Christmas morning is going great. I did the Cool Yule design this am and am drinking coffee and chatting with my good buddies at booman. The Diva Dogs are curled up in bed and right now all is right in my small corner of the world. LOL

All is quiet here as well. curly and the asklets are still sleeping, I have already finished the first cup-a-joe some time ago. Time to prepare breakfast.
I got them a large box of dog treats. I will get them new doggie toys later when cash flow is better. LOL
Merry Christmas refinish! And a scratch behind the ears to the Diva Dogs this morning!
Thanks from me and The Diva Dogs!!!!!
and I don’t work too hard, raking in all that extra cash.
Thank you Miss Andi!!!! and back at ya. I guess I have gotten back into the design swing again and am actually having fun doing it. I know it is mighty late for Christmas designs but at least it is ready for next year. LOL
I think you might have read the Ant and the Grasshopper a few times too many as a kid.
Lol, Andi! How is it that you are witty so early in the morning?
Sniff got me up at 5:00 so I’ve had a lot of time to think up smartass things to say.
Sniff must be related to the Diva Dogs.
LOL!!! Or seen the cartoon version of it a million times.
What a dreary, dark, wet morning here in NC. Even HJ wouldn’t stay out long enough to do her dirty bidness out in the rain.
Good morning everyone! I’m determined to be cheery even though I have some sort of christmas blues happening in this weird brain of mine.
I need to borrow some of RF69’s !!!!!!!!!!!!
THere, feels better already. 🙂
Honey, I am sending you all the Holiday Cheer I can right now. Just think how happy everyone was digging into their stash last night and how green your lawn will be this spring because you are getting winter rain. LOL
Ah yes, green lawns and sunny skies. Thanks, RF.
No Problem!!! I will be right back as I need to start some laundry.
Good morning, SN.
Sorry to hear of the dreary conditions on a morning like this. No sign of the sun here, either, but it’s not too dark. Hope you and family have a wonderful celebration.
Thanks, ask. That’s a cool set of books for the girl. 🙂
to go with your cute HJ pic?
Cats and boxes are an irresistible combination. My 18 pounder loves small boxes, the smaller the better. When she gets into a shoe box her luscious self puffs up over the top and she looks like a muffin.
Ducky seemed to think that having a big box that has a lot of smaller boxes in it was the best thing in the world.
So what’s for dinner?
Leftover ham for sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans. After thanksgiving we’re really sick of turkey with all the trimmings so we always have this meal. I tried to switch to something different this year but was met with much resistance.
What are you guys having? Probably something healthy and light.
We’re having marinated flank steak.
On the grill? That’s one of my favs.
Now can I get you to call them spragglenuggies? That’s what we called them as kids (I have no idea why) and the name has stuck.
if I’m going with childhood names, then I’ll stick with baby cabbages.
I am having cheese and crackers from last nights party for breakfast and probably jack in the box for dinner. LOL
this is a one-time event for the box.
No, it’s a surprising strong little box and she sits it in almost every day. It’s quite round now, though.
So it’s like those old water buffalo sandals — perfectly matched to her shape.
I can only assume she feels like she’s back in her mother’s womb. Safely crammed in.
and the box feels like Mom did the last week of pregnancy. LOL
Here is the Lyon Town Hall Sapin de Noël
What a Fantastic Picture!!!! I am trying that translator again. LOL
Ayez un Yule frais et une nouvelle année bloquante !
Excellent try!
Translated back, that gives:
Have a fresh Yule and a blocking new year!
Have a funny Christmas, r69!
I am going to find a new trasnlator online. LOL
Merry Christmas, Melanchthon.
Another great image from Lyon.
Good morning and Merry Christmas everyone :o)
And especially to MaryB if she stops in…I’m sorry for our argument. You’re tops on my special Froggy list and I wouldn’t feel right today if I didn’t let you know that.
Peace for all.
Happy Holidays to you also supersoling!!!!!
And to you Mr. Smiles :o)
Good morning, ss.
Hope you and family are well! How are the superkids?
Maryb, what’s up!
I’m sorry I missed your reply.
That’s very sweet…and generous Mary,
Thanks, I feel the same way.
Just popping in to wish a Merry Christmas to all of those who do that sort of thing. Big holiday hugs to the Cafe! xoxo
PS. Gorgeous pic as per usual, Andi.
Back at ya Indylib!!!!
and great relief that the thing didn’t sneak in and get you during the night!
Merry Christmas, Indy!
Hugs to you, too.
I hope everyone is having as wonderful a morning as we are here at Chez Cabin! The dogs have new bones, the CabinBoys are enjoying their gifts, and the adults are amped on espresso and cappuccino from the new espresso/coffeemaker… 🙂
Happy Holidays to the Cabin Gang!!!!! Sounds like a festive time at your abode and may the joy just keep coming all year!!!!
Merry Christmas to all in the Cabin, and curly says hi.
Espresso or cappuccino this morning?
to all the CabinFolks!
All the gifts have been opened and the paper cleaned up. Our daughter left with her boyfriend to make their own Christmas rounds to friends and some of his family. Big adjustment for mom and dad, one of our children leaving us and the house on Christmas day.

Morning Froggies. How is everyone? Merry ChristmaS to one and all.

Qucik someone call Omir’s house and wake the young one. LOL Merry Christmas Omir!!!!!
Hahahaha . . . it didn’t last long. She is now awake and happily playing with a remote control car she asked for.
LOL Great!!!! I hope she is having a great time and you and the family have a fabulous Holiday!!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!

What a beautiful christmas design!!!! Happy Holidays to you and your’s. I saw the fabulous picture of the baby with santa and love it!!!!!!
Good afternoon everyone. We’ve just picked up all the wrapping paper and are about to put Andrew down for a nap. He had a great time and it was a blast to watch him.
How did Andrew like the train?
(and of course we all waiting for Christmas pictures of Andrew)
Yes, we are.
Merry Christmas to All!
Cold, white and blue skies in the foothills…local webcam view across the valley
Looking forward to a late afternoon dinner and gift exchange w/ the dadaist clan
Enjoy!
Happy Holidays dada!!! Turns out we are busier than I thought we would be at work. I will check in when I can. LOL
Beautiful images, dada! Thank you.
Greetings & a happy holiday to all! Hope everyone’s having a good day (or, at very least, a day free of unbearable torment).

Back at ya sweetie!!!!
Hope your day’s going very smoothly, refinish!
actually the day is going quite well. I talked with Mom earlier today and have enjoyed visiting with the folks here in the cafe!!!!

I love a good thunderstorm. This steady, cold rain is just depressing. And also nap inducing. See you on the other side of my lie down.
Pleasant dreams, SN. Thanks for your earlier images! It was great to see the Nature family!
Ryan looks a lot better than I did at the same point.
I see you’ve lost none of your lusciousness, either.
I’ve only gained many, many additional lbs of lusciousness. :/
Thanks, WW. You are a wonderful liar.
We might get an inch or so but it’s not going to be that cold so it isn’t going to last.
Sounds like a typical October snowfall in the Catskills — just a nice little change of scene.
