May the 4’s be with you
Clean tables and plenty to drink. Come on in.
Everybody is probably off watching Grey’s Anatomy. More beer for me. π
I’m here!!!!
I saw your hello in the last cafe but it was already closed.
Hello back. π
Hi Miss Andi!!!!
So did you volunteer did to work new year’s eve or day?
We are not open New Years eve so I will work new years day and get double time and a half. LOL
So no big parties for you and the diva dogs on new year’s eve. π
LOL no!!!! I have not been out on New Year’s Eve in 4 years, I consider it amature night when all the people who don’t go out do and try and drink and cause problems. I would rather stay home. LOL
but that still leaves more beer for you.
Well since the beer is never ending, then yep. π
Gimme a hogshead of whatever this guy is having.
All right, I don’t drink and I’ve never done recreational pharmaceuticals but this poster makes me laugh every time.
That dates us both I guess… I remember this from my early college daze! Proof that flashbacks can occur at any time, eh?
Hi froggy and FM!
One and the same?
Hi Ask.
How’ve you been lately. I seem to have missed connecting with you the last couple of days.
A bit too busy and some crappy things happening at work.
Worked this week, though off tomorrow. So the bright side is the long weekend coming up.
So you’re getting a 4 day weekend, that sounds great.
Evening Ask!!!!
Hi refinish.
FM is right above. curly just switched to Grey’s Anatomy.
It’s my bedtime, so I’ll see everyone later.
sweet dreams!!!!
I’m stuck doing some work from home trying to beat a deadline, so if I gotta work I’m going to come in here and hang out while I do it. How is everyone?
Hi Omir!!!! I am exhausted and heading for bed. LOL 4:30 am comes mighty early and each day it seems earlier and earlier. LOL
Yike. And I think I’m put upon when I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning.
How does one do that???
Actually, I’m lookin’ for that kind of work, ha! π
So far this fall/winter, we’ve had nothing but spring, seems I heard you’ve had more of real winter out your way.
It’s been both a pleasant and enjoyable holiday, if’n one can forget the global warming element for a bit.
It’s overrated. I’m logged into some of the servers at work trying to get some stuff done before everyone shows up on Tuesday. It’s stuff that has to be monitored but not stared at, so there’s plenty of time for blogging.
The only problem is, I have to have my laptop logged into my Windows partition to be able to log in to work. Windows pays the bills, but the Penguin is my buddy.
Or is it just me admiring my own reflection? (Ribbett!)
Hmmm. I didn’t think I looked that good.
I was thinking more along the lines of, gee I didn’t think I had gained that much over the holidays!
Well, ya, sorta, around, and in and out, and so forth.
How ya been?
At least it’s not 117F out in your neck of the woods now, right?
I’m in and out, too, trying to get some exercise dancing around my bedroom. Can’t find the right music, though! Sometimes I just don’t like anything.
It’s cold and very very windy here. Cold by LA standards, that is. 52 degrees would probably be a warm night out where you are.
although we have had either record setting or near record setting highs lately, like mid forties, so it’s felt more like spring so far this fall-winter.
If’n it wasn’t for thoughts of global warming I’d be ecstatic!
And no snow at all in Fargo, and just patches up here in the boonies, where I am tonight.
Thoughts of global warming aren’t much fun. I was just perusing “The Winds of Change” which is a book about the socio-political implications of climate change. Scary Stuff!
and once ya get into it, it scares the crap out ya. Makes the Russian menace and the bomb shelter days look tame by comparison.
Truly! And now that they put expiration dates on canned goods, even bomb shelters don’t offer much comfort@=! LOL NOt that they ever did, but I was wondering what it would feel like to be eating canned peas that expired two years ago. We wonder about those things. Don’t ask me why….
and probably not now either. But I know some folk who are stocking up on beans of various kinds in case we have a 2-3 month disruption in arrival of foodstocks during a bird flu pandemic, or any other sort of disruption.
(more scary thought’s eh?)
You following that one at all?
Alright you two,
Here`s the Malibu moon a few mins ago.
Might I suggest any number of Angélique Kidjo discs? Very danceable shake yer booty kinda stuff from Bénin … and she has one amazing voice as well!
Hope to one day catch up w/you again in real time! Have a great New Year if I don’t bump into you again before then!
Hy, NDD! I assume it’s either 11 or 17 degrees up your way. That temperature reminds me of the year I spent a farm in Iowa. The winter was brutal. I’m on my way to post more FM Papers. Will be back in a while.
and a howdy back at ya Teach, we’re at 20F as we speak, and zero for wind, so nary a sound to be heard when I step out on the deck.
Brutal would be define hereabouts as -20F to -35F with wind or no wind, or say 5F to -20F with any amount of wind.
We’ve had six or seven mild winters in a row, relative to my memory of winters. These last several years remeind me more of what Denver winters used to be like in the early seventies. So I’ve been calling these recent ones “Denver winters”.
So what’s involved with the “FM papers” if you’re free to tell?
Click on her link and you will see that she is making up stories about some of our fellow froggies and spreading them around the internets!
ohhh, that sounds like great fun, I’ll go have a looksee. Thanks!
Thanks for the plug. FYI, she’s a he.
That is, I’m a man, not a woman. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.
I stand corrected.
I’ve been called worse.
Now now!
I clumsily meant to say that I wasn’t offended by introduced as a woman.
The coldest I remember was -33 and windy. I remember dreading the clear, bright days because that meant the temperature had plummeted. Still, I’m sure your winters are harder.
Greetings all and sundry! Just posted FM documents 11 – 16. Am going back to work. Want to complete the FM Paper by Friday night. I’ll check back in later and see if anybody’s still around. (MM, good to see you and your all frog band. Omir, maybe we’ll drop in at the same time.)
FM Papers 16 – 18 posted.
thrills and intrigue abound on BT! I’ll be looking forward to the remainder of the FM story.
FM papers 19 & 20 posted.
FM 21 posted and FM 22 is on its way. And then the FM story will completed.
fun to see your moon photo, been missing your photo creations lately, but I’ll check in here tomorrow and see if there were any late additions.
Hey there BNF dude! Sorry I missed you here, and concur w/the comments about odd midwestern winter weather… looks like rain here for the next few days, while it appears Dada is going to get slammed bigtime yet again. Think we can FedEx him a case of good beer to get him through?
How much longer are you at the farm, and hope you didn’t run out of that wood you mentioned in your email last week, hehe.
Hope to catch you soon, my friend!
I seem to have written all through the night. I wonder if I should stay up until andi opens the coffee cart?
I think I won’t make it. Night, lurkers.
Hi Teach, I’m up.
(Don’t know why – I’m off today.)
