Morning Andi.
No sleeping late today?
Nope. I’ve been up since 4 but I stayed in bed and pretended I was going to go back to sleep until 5:30. I can be very stubborn.
I know what you mean. FMom decided at 4:30 that since she was awake, I should be too. Then George started on wanting to so out, so I decided what’s the use.
How much longer do you have on your vacation?
Until Monday. Two weeks seemed like a long time when it started, now it feels like I barely getting any time off.
Yeah time flies when you enjoying yourself. But just think, you’ll be all refreshed and ready for the job on Monday. Nah. 🙂
Gorgeous picture from olivia!
How is everyone this fine morning of the CBs’ return to school?
Morning CG.
Doing fine. Are you looking forward to a quiet day today?
I am looking forward to a quiet day. Post the News Bucket, take a power nap, drink coffee in peace…oh, and work. 🙂
Good for you. I like the power nap part. 🙂
When does CBtE leave?
Monday morning EARLY. So I guess it’s just 5 days and a wake-up away.
Since I haven’t flown lately, I need to find out what the current restrictions on carry-on items are. Liquids? One bag only? What?
Liquids have to fit into a quart ziplock bag. Each container can be no larger than 3oz. And you need to have the bag where it can be examined by hand.
Thanks. And are we still down to a single carry-on? I have a morbid fear of checking luggage.
1 carryon piece of luggage, 1 personal carryon (purse, briefcase, backpack)
Thanks! He has to switch planes, and I’d feel better if he had both his bags in hand.
LOL I have been working on designs since 3 am and just realized I have to get my kiester to work at my real job. I will try and stop by and say hi from work if we are not too busy. I will post the designs tonigt. Everyone have a great day!!!!
You have a good day too Refinish.
Have a great day at work!
Have a great day!
Good morning all. Back to work.
Who you talking to about work. 🙂
Slacking is work.
Nah to some of us it just come naturally. I like to think of it more as slacking is a destiny.
I could do with a little destiny today.
So you can go into work and slack and when you boss asks you why you aren’t working, just say “slacking is work’.
I’ll try that today.
I’ve found that works best when you are the boss. 🙂
Morning everyone!
Morning Olivia.
I see you’re ready for another wonderful workday.
Just poured my press pot coffee into my insulated mug … guess I’ll get going. Have a good day – you’re going to have to slack for me today.
Have a good day Olivia. Always glad to help out on the slacking.
Gotta get ready for work. See y’all later!
Have a good one Boran.
Chives:
Hi keres.
That’s what chives looks like. I never knew.
Only if you let them flower. We’ve got plenty, so we are not too worried about them going to seed.
The blossoms are about the diameter of a nickle.
Boysenberry blossom:
Recently, the Currawongs (raven-like birds) finished the cherries and started in on the boysenberries. While I was willing to ceed them the cherries (we’re in the midst of a drought and the animals are hard-pressed to find enough food), the boysenberries, on-the-other-hand, are bound for pie, so we’ve covered them with bird netting. Pie is pie, afterall.
Pie is pie, afterall. I couldn’t agree more.
In case you stop by before closing: these are beautiful images, keres.
Kinda looks like lightning!
Wouldn’t you know it — I toast you in song & misspell your name.
What an idiot!
It’s nice being off so I can go walk in the morning light. There was so much frost today even the greenbriers looked pretty.
Wow! Love it!!
The way the spider’s web works within the twig composition is really terrific!
Turning from Steven D’s front page diary to this image seems very appropriate, too — considering ‘the web of life’ & all.
I truly see so much in your images, Andi. Everything I’ve experienced informs my take, too. I’m thankful that I can relate!
😉
Oh, and good afternoon, folks! I truly love Miss O’s image, as well. For some reason, I think of Groucho’s ‘Lydia the Tattooed Lady’:
Olivea, Olivea
Have you met Olivea
Olivea, purveyor of beauty
Her photos are stunning, the colors sublime
The flowers’ bright inner bits nicer than mine
To miss parvum opus is surely a crime
You can learn alot from Olivea!
La la laaah, la la la ..
I didn’t realize there was a web there until I got the photo on the computer — it really surprised me since I don’t remember ever seeing a spider web in winter before.
I live your song and your creative way of spelling olivia.
Well, that’s one word for it. Thank you.
😉
I’ve seen quite a few similar surprises in my photos, too. It sure seems more likely in the woods than anywhere else.
So you’re having ‘winter’, eh?
So you’re having ‘winter’, eh?
or an unreasonable facsimile thereof.
This seems to be our fate (so far) east of the Mississippi.
We’re experiencing a bit of summertime weather here at the moment — intense thunder & lightning, steady precipitation. Mother Nature celebrates Jeb’s departure over blue South FL, no doubt.
LOL … and I thought you were spelling my name phonetically … 🙂
Hi everyone, I just copied Sangreal79’s diary and posted with an introduction from me on Daily Kos and would appreciate a rec. on the site, if you have the time.
Happy New Year Everyone and all!!!!!!
Done … 🙂
Happy New Year to you and your family!
