Yeah I guess it is. I think I’m about to get back into my routine. I was up at around 5:00 this morning. At 3:00 I think I would be wishing for doggy doors.
It’s better when they want to go out at 2 or 3 because I let them out, fall asleep on the couch till they want in, and they go back to bed. If they wait till 4:00 I usually can’t get back to sleep.
Usually if George wakes me up anytime after I’ve gone to sleep, then I’m up for the rest of the night. He hardly ever does that though. I don’t know if he’s trying to let me sleep, or if he’s lazier than me on the sleeping.
I wonder if small dogs have better bladders. Sniff never has to go out during the night but the two big dogs do (though not as a regular event, thankfully).
The boran2boy wakes me up every night recently with strange dreams. It’s a phase apparently. But it’s funny that he doesn’t yell “mommy”, only “daddy” at 3am. Last night he did it twice. I’ll need to steal one of your naps today, FM.
Plenty of naps to spare. I hope boran2boy get out of that phase soon. Nightmares are so bad for children.
One of my fondest memories is when my youngest daughter had here tonsils out. The whole family was in the waiting room and the nurse came out of recovery and said she kept saying she wanted her Daddy.
I have huge plans. I’m going out to buy all the stuff Mr. Nature has to drink before his colonoscopy tomorrow. And then I’m going to leave the house while it does its stuff.
Maybe a couple of long movies and then a night in a motel.
Maybe very, very early spring. The unusual thing this winter is the number of leaves on the small beeches. Usually they’d just have a few but the lack of winter storms have allowed them to keep almost all their leaves.
I’m at the library because a big tree fell down and went boom over the power lines down the road. No power, no phone. 🙁
But at least you can take a gander at all the hispeed stuff while you’re there.
I noticed that about the trees here as well — the problem though, is that some of the trees have budded and one around the corner has actually leafed — little delicate green leaves in January. So we’ve got dead leaves that haven’t been blown off w/ new buds coming out. It’s been a very warm winter here.
Another drive-by hugging{{{{!}}} and good morning from placid Cascadia! We’re expecting another inch of rain today and it’s warm enough (50’s) that we gardeners are wearing our cotton socks and no long undies. Both my carpool mate and I report waking up last night with TMBS (too many blankets syndrome).
After being plagued with leftover anxiety and exhaustion from the holidays I somehow ended up helping the maybe man with a cat emergency (it turned out to be severe flea allergy). We were up way too late at the emergency vets then had to seek food. I did get some decent sleep but not enough. Oh well maybe tonight…
Nope. Jim didn’t feel that good last night and though he’s better today he didn’t feel like better than 6 hours of driving (and we weren’t going to get to visit Indy). So we’re going to go up to Indianapolis later this afternoon and visit with mom and take her out to dinner.
A dog after my own haeart. I bet she would be great for nap taking. Then again, she’s not as small as George, so I couldn’t just push her out of the way.
Good morning Andi.
Looks like you can’t sleep late no matter what.
I slept till 6:05 — that is late (except hopeful had to go out at 3:00).

It’s possible. It might be a trade off with George. Since he’s a yapper, at least I get a break from getting up in the middle of the night. 🙂

Hi Boran.

Aww.
That’s the way I felt when the nurse told me. 🙂
You got any big plans today?

Poor Mr. Nature. To go through all that without you. Be sure to put an extra roll of tp in the bathroom. 🙂
Ick. I’m so not into togetherness at times like this.
.
Good morning anyone???
"But I will not let myself be reduced to silence."
Good morning Oui.
for the southern hemisphere and an implied good afternoon for those at GMT+1 and earlier but I’m too lazy to type all that.
Good morning, Oui!
That photo looks like a spring scene!

hi-speed is very nice.
I haven’t seen any leaf buds but the moss and ferns seem to be still growing.

Here is today’s centerfold. Why must she sleep on my pillows?
Now that is a cute picture. She looks so majestic.
That look is really one of incredulity that I have awakened her from her nap in the sun.
could she get such a lovely noseful of you?
I hesitate to answer that because she has found several ways to do just that.
Well assuming that basset hounds share a lot of things with beagles, I can guess but the pillow still wins because it has the smell and it’s comfy.
That must be the tie-breaker. The other things were not comfy, especially after I got done swearing at her.
Poor HJ. 🙂
She looks so comfy!
Can I go back to sleep now?
she’s still hungover from new year’s.
Going to Dayton today? 🙂
Nope. Jim didn’t feel that good last night and though he’s better today he didn’t feel like better than 6 hours of driving (and we weren’t going to get to visit Indy). So we’re going to go up to Indianapolis later this afternoon and visit with mom and take her out to dinner.
Have you visited the children’s museum yet? That Chihuly floor/ceiling thing looks amazing.
I’ve been going there since I was kid but I assume you mean since they installed the Chihuly — so ‘no’.
A dog after my own haeart. I bet she would be great for nap taking. Then again, she’s not as small as George, so I couldn’t just push her out of the way.
She has her own ideas about sharing a bed with two people. She gets half and they get half. But she’s great at keeping my butt warm.
George will sometimes sleep at the small of my back. I got a pillow on the bed though he usually sleeps on.
I’ve got to run errands downtown.
See ya’ll later.
This afternoon`s fly, bye.
