“Tonight, the President ignored the recommendations of members of both parties, military leaders, foreign policy experts, and the will of the American people by announcing that he intends to escalate our involvement in Iraq by sending more troops there. Congress must bring an end to what has been one of the greatest foreign policy mistakes in the history of our nation. The President continues to deny the devastating impact that keeping our brave troops in Iraq is having on our national security. The American people have rejected the Administration’s Iraq-centric foreign policy. It is time to bring our troops out of Iraq and refocus on defeating the global terrorist networks that threaten this country.”
I’m sad to say that Feingold is right. We are facing our toughest year as a nation since 1974. I hope we can vindicate our principles and the wisdom of our Founding Fathers.

it will likely go up soon here.
His staff is pretty good about getting these things up pretty quickly.
As they say, the best defense is a good offense.
We can’t defend ourselves from Bush without putting impeachment SQUARELY on the table and conducting investigations immediately.
I think that’s the only way to stop him. I’m seriously frightened for our country.
Pat Buchanan just said that the Age of American Empire is over.
Well, that is new information I did not know <snark>
Coming from Pat Buchanan it’s kind of a surprise.
Of course he then went on to spout a bunch of crap about how he agrees with the surge, and it is the only thing that could possibly work, etc, etc.
I apologize for posting the ravings of a lunatic.
We need to know what is being said, so I appreciate it! This has fired me up!
Let’s see, I think Buchanan has had that phrase programed in as the F1 key his computer at least since 2002. And still they let him come on as a pundit. . .
Really? I admit I don’t watch the television pundit class much, so it’s entirely possible that I’ve missed it.
He sure knows how to say it to make you think it’s a recent revelation he’s had though 🙂
MSNBC is reporting that Senator Clinton “won’t support troop escalation” Does that mean she will vote against appropriating money? If not, then spare me the doggamned blathering. That goes for all the politicians.
Yeah, that’s real courageous. Seeing as how half the Republican Senators are saying the same thing.
LOL here too – literally! ZING!
there was some adversarial press then.
and I think the Mideast is way hotter now than southeast asia then.
